Comment:
Terrible instructor. You're never sure what he wants, and he he's arrogant when you ask him to clarify. His sense of humor is lame. He is disorganized, and his dates for most deadlines are inaccurate, prompting you to email him for corrections. Sloppy, disorganized, inept. Do not take this class with this professor if you can avoid it.

Welcome to college and college expectations. You?ll have to work in this class, but show up, read the book and study for the exams and you?ll pass. The dreaded paper is 6 pages MLA format; so if you can?t write this paper college isn?t for you. Schultz is a History and Sociology knowledge machine, Take his class and learn something.

Nice guy! You must ASK for help if you need it but he makes himself available if you need it. Tough class though, with a lot of notes and a longgg paper to write.

I was in an online class, make sure you communicate via email etc if you are not clear on a subject. Very important to reference the text and all the data you can when doing your Q and A, mid-terms and finals. He is looking for specific information for everything. Not an easy class!

I felt like i was in english. And he was telling more jokes then historical facts.I will admit he is very smart in his field but like i said work and projects require a unneeded amount of writing and dont focus enough on the quailty of the papers.I am a history major and i dreaded his class.

Everyone warned me about taking him, and I was skeptical.... however, I took his class Race & Ethnicity a few years ago and it was my FAVORITE class!!! His class encouraged me to enter into a field of humanities and race.. and I loved it. Although his work was a little demanding, he was very kind and understanding. I loved his class- excellent teac

Great teacher, but you've got to experience the class. So I wouldn't suggest something on line. Oh, and he has an odd sense of humor, but if you bear with him he will bear with you when your having a tough time.

Not an Intro to Sociology class! I don't know how he is in person, but the online class was very hard! The amount of work load was ridiculous! The mid term and final were very hard to get above a 70...didn't know exactly what he wanted. I would avoid taking an online class with him. Waste of money!!

Really smart teacher, but you need to be able to speak up and ask him to slow down or explain something, which he has no problem doing. Must take his class in person, don't attempt to online, you really need to ask him 1 on 1 questions to understand and get a good answer. Can be hard, but a little 'please' from the class and he gives in ;-)

online course-severely disappointed overall. Grading was arbitrary, sometimes with snide remarks. Work load was very heavy, but all about regurgitating back the book, with citations. No discussion, lecture or interaction. Purely, book based. I love the topic, hated the teacher's format. Waste of time and money. Avoid.

HORRIBLE. completely disorganized. amount of coursework expected per week varied all over the place. never responded to questions in private folder (online class). essay questions for exams were extremely open-ended while his expectations for answers were very specific. screwed up book assignment. my first non-A :( AVOID HIS ONLINE CLASS!

Dr. Schultz has a vast amount of knowledge to share with his students. He challenges his students and engages in intellectual conversations with them. Unlike some community college professors Dr. Schultz takes his students and their education seriously. If you want to prepare for higher education he is the professor for you. I'm glad I took his cla

One of the best professors I've had at either a 2 yr or 4 yr school. Knows his subject matter and teaches it well. His classes are exciting and go by fast. I took both Anthropology and Sociology with him and would highly recommend him.

I loved this class. yeah, it got to be pretty boring sometimes, and his handwriting is something to be desired (he'll throw something at you if you ask what he wrote...) but the conversations were engaging and took up half the class period, which was good. Hard grader, definitely not for slackers.

I took this class for a requirement. He is a raging liberal and I argued with him all through class about his biased lessons. Otherwise, I think he believes he is a havard professor or something, this man is truely a joke. But remember, he one the writing contest in third grade.
