I really enjoyed taking his class. He was very thorough on all of his explanations and would explain it in different ways until you understood. He is a tough grader, but you get to use a notes-sheet on all of his exams. He was regularly a few minutes late to class, but overall, I would gladly take another class with him if I had the chance.

Great prof, knows and loves the subjects but also makes him expect way more from students. No differentiation between 4000 and 6000 level students, teaches the class at a 7000-8000 level. Warning to CS majors, do not take this class! Very light on applications and heavy on proofs and theory. Absolutely zero coding, one question ever on algorithms.

He was a real respectable guy but I feel like he expected you to understand calculus before actually taking his class.

Sometimes interesting lectures as he interacts and related problems to real life things. Especially his stack of wood in the winter haha. Problems were often times unclear and confusing in lecture. His midterms are very tough as almost all the problems on them are always tricky and advanced. This class was much harder than it should have been.

Dr. Slilaty's method of teaching consists of using the projector and writing notes using windows journal. He then posts the notes to his website usually immediately after class. He goes a little fast, so he recommends taking notes after class and not during class. His exams are not too difficult. He is one of the best professors I've had.

Dr. Slilaty explained the material clearly and consistently, so I would highly recommend taking this class with him. He can come off a little short when answering questions but is otherwise a really nice guy. If you ask for help, he'll give it to you.

He kept his head buried in his laptop writing notes the majority of every class and if you had a question he makes you feel like you're inconveniencing him quite a bit. Getting him to explain anything in another fashion as to better comprehend it is almost nonexistent. I will avoid taking him as a professor for the rest of my math at Wright State

Dr.Slilaty is amazing. Do the work, try hard, and dont be afraid to ask him questions. Can come off kinda short if you dont get a concept but dont let him fool you, he is the single most helpful professor if you let him be.

Slilaty is a smart guy. He is very monotone, which makes class boring sometimes. He really knows the topic and does a good job explaining it.

Horrible prof. He makes you learn on your own and "reviews" problems with you. Avoid him at all costs.

He's a good professor, definitely knows what hes talking about. He is brilliant but the only issue I had was when I went to make an appointment with him. He seemed to have forgotten the appointment, but the whole time he was helping, I felt like he was very put off when I didn't understand something. Either way, I'd take him again.

he is okay. i had ap calc in high school so it was almost all review. he stumbles throughout the notes and makes constant mistakes. which gets really annoying. he is approachable in lab for questions though. 4 midterms, lab problems each week, final. easy because the tests are exactly like the examples he gives in the notes.

Very helpful, good explanations, tests are kind of hard. The homework is never collected, but you should do it because they are good practice. Since there are no homework grades, you have to do well in the lab and on exams in order to pass.

He is very sarcastic but in the nicest way possible. If you ask questions he will tell you everything but what you asked or just expects you to already know the answer. He is also a hard grader. Nice teacher. Do the homework and practice and yo should pass

Slilaty rocks my socks. One of a few decent math professors at wright state. Tough though, if you want a good grade you have to work for it.
