I see a lot of complaints about Snyder on here, but I have to disagree. He is extremely clear on his grading criteria, and he posts documents online that you can print off and use. The online documents layout every essay format perfectly. Vague essay topics so tons of room for creativity. I wish he was teaching 112!! Easy A.

I would not recommend this professor to anyone. He makes you write a ton of papers where the requirements aren't clear at all. When you ask him to explain them he just reads the sheet he typed and the requirements tend to change every class period. His grading is all over the place and you never really know what he wants.

This class was horrible. Wouldn't recommend taking. Expect essays and 1 12 page papers every week. I'd also recommend bring several monsters to class because you will fall asleep to his lectures.

You will be spending the whole semester on one subject! so make your class chose wisely because if you get a topic that is fairly one sided, like genocide being bad, you will have a difficult time finding articles to debate with. class was boring, we spend most of the time reading each others papers. Daniel is a very cool guy, kind of hippish. Class was pretty easy as well, had to write a lot of short papers with occasionally dull topics. He did miss class a lot too. Exams were short and easy. Wish he would have had more control over the class. Most of the students acted like high school kids and he did not control it much.

Hard teacher, usually dont mind a challenge but found it hard to stay interested in this class. He made most of the class rewrite each paper after handing them in..plus gave you new assignments on top of it. Only got to write on one subject the entire semester which..suppose to prepare us for the final, but it didnt help at all.

Don't take this class if you are undisciplined, don't like being criticized, or have no desire to improve. Snyder obviously takes what he does VERY seriously and expects you to as well. Earning an A in his class was one of my hardest achievements during my undergraduate studies, but I feel his discipline prepared me for challenges to come.

He is extremely arrogant all he ever wants to talk about is himself. He is a descent teacher, however he has an extremely hard grading policy. If you miss 1 assignment you fail the course. He also makes up the rules as he goes. He requires you to attend every class but, he seems to have no problems canceling class at the last minute.

OMG! I use to love english, but now I don't! DON'T take his class if you can help it. He gives you one topic that you have to write about the WHOLE semester, which gets really boring really fast! & If you miss one homework you fail the course. You also have to correct each homework assignment after he gives it back or you don't get a grade for it.

The first day of class he seemed like a cool guy, but then became very strict. You have to do every single homework assignment or you don't pass the class regardless of your current grade. The big research project was a joke. I didn't enjoy this class at all and I got a A- in it.
