Dan is probably one of my favorite teachers of all time. I was interested in the subject to begin, and he used the discussion-based-lectures to really shape my critical, philosophical thinking. A ton of fun to talk to and joke with, I highly recommend taking him. Make sure you want to learn.

Very smart man, I loved this class! HARD. Tests all essay and hard mult choice, KEEP UP WITH READINGS. Will make you think, A LOT. Great disscussions. Might fall asleep if it is early in morn. Get involved, as much as you can. Great man! Get out if you want an easy "A"!!!!

This class is stinkin' HARD. It's really complicated and deals a lot more with science than I expected. I was looking for more philosophy. Dan is a good teacher and facilitates discussion well. I'd recommend it if you're prepared to do a lot of reading and pondering.

Good teacher but seems to play favorites. If he likes you, he'll be more prone to give you a better grade. If he doesn't really like you than you won't get a good grade no matter what. Nonetheless, a very good teacher but not such a good grader.

Awesome teacher!! Make sure you take him for intro. to philosophy. Tests are kind of hard but not impossible. He will mess with your mind but he really gets you to start thinking about life and the way you see things. You have to take this guy!!
