Dr. T is awesome. Just don't be a total dumb** and show up to class and you will do fine. He has a very unique personality, and some may get offended even by some of his jokes, but you just have to realize that this is his personality and he means no disrespect. In the end he is a very nice and awesome professor that cares about his students.

Great teacher. Learned a lot and he used real-world examples relating to geogrpahy which made learning it way easier. He's pretty clear in directions but doesn't take anyone's B.S. and is quite funny. An easy professor to get along with. If you show up and listen, read the book, you'll get a good grade.

Great Professor. He puts geog. in every day perspectives. He likes to make short relations between students and geog. issues. Lectures are sufficient, there is 1 h.w. packet/week. Weekly map quizes. A few tests that arn't too hard. Just show up and have fun!

This guy is a joke. Presents his opinion as fact, and many of the things he teaches are waaaaay out of date. He seems arrogant and lazy to me using 1980's data because your to lazy to update your material is a joke. Is blatantly rude. map tests are a joke. Is vague on assignments and test. If you dont need this class or can get another prof do it.

First of all if you take this class NEVER skip a day. That solves most of your problems. This guy is a total ass. And no matter who you are or what you think he will probably offend you. But he's also pretty funny. and if you can handle not being overly sensitive then you'll get through his class just fine. I actually learned quite a bit.

Biggest a**hole you will ever meet! If u miss a day when he hands out assignments, he will NOT give u 1 even with a written excuse! Tried getting help from him many times and was never willing to/ available to help. Tries to piss everyone off. Has questions on test that people always get worng but keeps them on anyhow. test avgs 68% for class of 40

He tries to offend as many people as he can and thinks it's funny. I attended every day of class but one and he handed out an assignment that day; I asked for the assignment the next day and he informed me that he decided not to give them to people who missed class although he had done it the whole quarter so far. He's a real jackass in my opinion

He is horrible.. if you have him get out now.. the first day he said that he didn't like that people though of geography as memorizing things like places and such, and the very next day he told us about how we were going to have a map quiz every week! Ya.. his class is hard even if you are a hard worker. He show a lot of prejudices against people.

For all you education majors that want an example of what not to do in every aspect in teaching...sign up for any of his classes. What a joke...I have never met a more unhappy man. Turbeville's lectures were interesting and the assignments ridiculously easy. They appeared to be borrowed from a high school teacher. His test (there was only one that I recall), on the other hand, was poorly written and dealt almost exclusively with material never covered in class.
