Darrel Lawrence is a fantastic professor. I am currently taking his technical writing class and even though we have never met (online class), he is one of if not the most inspirational and invested professor I've had. He really cares about helping his students expand their abilities and learn as much as possible. Definitely take any course with him

Mr. L is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He ensures that you understand what needs to be done and if you do not, he will explain the assignment more clearly. He is very patient, caring, considerate, understanding and cares about his students. He is easily accessible and replies to emails quickly.. even on weekends. Amazing teacher

super easy. not a challenging college class at all! pretty nice guy but he tells too many stories and doesn't teach enough of what we need to know to be good writers. barely attended. no problem. you still get an A. do not recommend to serious English majors. it was a disappointment.

I loved his class. So much fun! Very nice and will help you with anything even writing papers for another class. Helped me with scholarship essays and wrote reference letters for me. Great Guy!!! If you take his class ask him about his ice cream collection. He loves ice cream!!!

Extremely laid back class environment. He tosses in an easy assignment that is generously graded every now and then between his hilarious stories of past life experiences. He still manages to teach to a lot, despite his straying off topic. This is my favorite class i've ever had in college.

I took ENG 101 and 104 and must say for my first college teacher he was very accommodating to a first time college student rather than discouraging new students. I took Tech and Prof Writing with him after enjoying the class so much. He is a great professor to take online courses with as well.

I had him three times when I was at JCC. He is a wonderful teacher and very willing to hlep. He understand that students at JCC have jobs and can't get things done on the due dates and as long as you talk to him he will extend the dates. He is great to have your very first semester at JCC you will feel confident that you can get your degree.
