Comment:

He is a great professor. Although I found him easier in Calculus I, in Calc II he goes a lot faster and some times he literally makes no sense. You have to pay attention because some things he doesn't explain well and they could be so easily comprehended. You'll have to figure it out and teach urself, but once you get it, u can follow. He's good.

Comment:

He's a sweet and funny old man! 6 quizzes, 3 tests, and a final (provides a review sheet before each test and the final). He doesn't check the homework, but some questions from the quizzes and tests come from there and the examples he gives in class. Sometimes he makes small, careless errors when working out examples, but he's a great teacher!

Good professor. He doesn't check the hw but its a good idea to do it for practice and understanding. He has a quiz every week and for his quizzes and tests he takes out a lot of points for small mistakes and his handwriting is hard to read. Sometimes even he couldn't tell what he wrote.

He teaches everything clearly. No tricks on the exams. Everything on the exams are on the review sheet. You need to come to class in order to do well. He also curves your grade if you have good attendance.

Comment:

Best math teacher I have ever had! He does a great job of explaining everything in a VERY clear cut manner. Yes Calculus is hard but if you take him he'll make it easy for you to pass. You will have tests, quizzes and a midterm+final but they're all simple if you study. Don't skip class because he always teaches something new so you will be lost!

This professor is amazing! I'm not someone whose especially great at math, but I passed his class with a 98. He makes things so easy and really breaks things down so that it is impossible to be confused. He is very clear on what he wants and what will be on tests. He always gives out review sheets and there are never any surprises on tests

This guy is super cool. He tells the funniest stories before class. His grading is based on only quizzes and tests however both are easy if you can learn the material. Also before each test and the final, you're given a review sheet which he then goes over in great detail. Highly recommended.

Gives review sheets before every test. He does enough work in class that you won't even need the textbook. He doesn't care about you or really wants to learn your name, which is respectable. If you ever have a question about the things in class, he is always willing to help. Make sure you keep asking him questions until you understand.

Simple grading Criteria. Textbook is only for homework and it not gradedcollected. He is always willing to answer any questions you have on the material. Highly recommend this teacher for Calculus I. He also gives review sheets before every test.

Lecture. Hes not really up to date with terms and theres a lot of miscommunication in his class. The tests are very similar to the reviews but sometimes certain questions are made harder which is to be expected. The class isn't terrible. Im not good at math so its hard to keep up. I got a tutor. Book is for hw only.. which isn't collected or graded

I escaped by the skin of my teeth with a C+ Nice guy but teaches too fast for those who never took calc before. If you are going to take this class learn how to get the derivatives before hand, that's pretty much 1009 with him. He's not easy, a lot of quizzes and tests. If you study you will pass.

This guy teaches VERY quickly. I am terrible at math & did very poorly on all tests, even with the help of a tutor. With that being said, I would still recommend him. If you're good at math he's the person to take. All tests are cumulative and the final isn't bad. I ended up with a C+. GO TO CLASS, or else consider yourself lost.

Latzman is a great professor and cares for his students. He is very clear about all assignments and exams. Homework is not mandatory but if you want to do well you should do it because it helps. He will go over anything you ask him and he will make sure you understand how to do it as long as you ask!

I like math in general and calculus was nothing new to me, nonetheless I think Professor Latzman is an excellent professor. His pace was pretty slow and he's very clear. A couple of quizzes they're not hard. I strongly recommend taking him. If I could I'd take him again.

Professor Latzman is a math genius, his math knowledge is incredible which seems to be his only flaw. He teaches at a fast pace so be prepared to learn 2-3 topics a week. Everything is also cumulative so dont throw out any quizs, tests or work. The best part is that he teaches well & clear & goes through every problem you ask him too. Great class.

Take him!! Great professor! He gives out quizzes and a lot of homework, but it's all worthwhile. You should go to every class cuz if you don't you will get lost. Also, he will make you feel embarrassed if you don't go by calling out your name. He explains things very clearly and his tests are easy. lol his granddaughter is cute.
