I absolutely strongly disliked the course. Would seriously suggest people not to take him for sociology. I anticipated a great class, fun, easy, no, he produces busy work that you think may be worth something and is simply does not affect your grade. Tests are all that matters, no matter what he says in the beginning. He's a waste.

Great Teacher! To memorize others names, he give extra credit to those who can name the whole class! Those points helped me past some of his test! Test are a little difficult, but I had fun in the class, none the less!

Dr. Anderson is the best professor I've had this semester. He can make something as mundane as sociology and makes it fun. My whole class got into the subject. We would get in big discussions taking about the subject.

Prof. Anderson is an awesome teacher. He does ramble a bit, but he always makes good points that make you think. He's very knowledgeable in his field. He goes off topic sometimes but he gets his major points across. I wouldn't buy the book, we rarley used it and it's possible to get an A without it.

I was in this class for one day and dropped because it was entirely pointless. He's some old hippie, whic is cool, but not for college. The material we were supposed to learn was hard to understand and the most important thing was the name game. DSC needs a better sociology department.

Awesome guy. Great class. I look forward to his discussions. anyone who has a hard time on his tests should realize that he expects you to look up the information from his study guide in the textbook. there may be a few things that aren't in there. but if you can get online to give him a bad rating, you can look up a keyword. Not a difficult class.

I thought I would enjoy this class but I don't. This class is a waste of my time. This professor has random discussions during class, hardly ever discusses anything on the test. Oh, and if you want to have a chance to make an A on this class he expects you to complete a minimum of 8 papers for the semester, papers that he doesn't even read!

Fun relaxed class, a lot of debate and conversation. Follow the handout he gives to study for the test. We don't always stay on point with lecture, but the handout is where the test questions come from. Lots of extra credit opportunity too. Great professor, I've enjoyed his class and would recommend him to others.

Cool guy, but it seemed like his test questions were pulled out of thin air. I also had a hard time following his discussions when i took his class in Summer '08..but I was never really into politics to begin with. I would recommend him.

Awesome teacher. This is all I have to say. If you take good notes and study them, you should pass all of his tests. Plus, when you get the Sociology book make sure Kornblum wrote the book, if it doesn't don't get the book. He goes by this book, for the tests and notes. Awesome teacher. Easu as well. So, take this guy. You won't go wrong. Awesome!

Awesome teacher. He will give you half a letter grade on a test if you name everybody in the class. Plus, he gives extra credit papers to do. Which, you can basically do what ever you want for the papers. His tests on pretty simple if you study and take good notes. Awesome teacher would recommend him for anyone who has to take this class.

The extra credit points for remembering classmate names is classic. It may sound dumb, but he actually works it into a sociological experiment. The point of his class is basically to take interest in other people and how they live. I had many strong debates with him, as I am a proud free-marketeer. Fun and informative, inspires thought!

Easy class, almost too easy. Dr. Anderson is a lot of fun, but his tests are a bit weird. Make sure you study the study guides he gives you, the tests are pretty much word for word from those. Definitely an easy "A"!

Great Teacher. Really knows his stuff and allows his students to voice their opinion if they want to, but wont force them to if they don't. They only hard part is the tests, they are difficult, which can be surprising given the otherwise very casual classroom atmosphere.
