Professor Bartine was one of the most challenging teachers I've ever had in Binghamton, but he was also one of the best. He actually teaches you, challenges you, and helps you if you're having trouble. I took a course with him after suffering through a course with that waste of space Professor Lois Einhorn, huge difference!

Prof. Bartine is awesome. He definitely knows his stuff. No, this class won't be an easy A, but if you're at least semi-intelligent and do the readings/study, you'll pass. Sometimes class can get a little boring but I really enjoyed it. He also holds review sessions prior to each of the two exams he gives, so that helps a lot.

Bartine is amazing!! He's extremely laid back and open to any opinions, he will never tell you you're wrong. Also, he really knows his stuff, so if you come to class atleast somewhat prepared and ready to discuss something, his class is awesome. It can get boring at times, but come on what class cant? AMAZING professor.

I wish I had taken Eng310 before this, because I would have understood him much better. He irritated me with his constant references to outside material (oh, if you took this class with me or read this book then you'll know that...). He was very helpful outside of class though. I definitely respect him. Take this class if you understand theory.

One of the best teachers I've had at BU. If you have half a brain and try decently hard, you'll get a B or A in the class. He is more than willing to help you outside of class. Also, one of the more brilliant teachers you'll meet with interesting stories about his experiences during the 60's.

Bartine should stick to writing. He obviously has his own thoughts, but is really disorganized in his presentation and hard to understand. He says, "Yes, Yes, that's right...and more," but you never really hear his thoughts on the issue.

Over analyzes the texts.Tests have many parts to them so you wont finish on time.Barely gives out anything besides a C.If you are not over-analytical like he is,you probably wont do well at all.Also there are only two test in class. Dont take this class.
