What sets him apart from most is that there is an actual incentive in doing the HW, in that it counts as bonus points on the test. While some complain about his tendency to deduct quarter/half points, I personally think its beneficial to have your bad habits identified quickly. If possible, try to get him in Math 37, 20 and/or Calc! Made math fun

Amazing professor. He might be lecturing a bit fast at first but once you adjust and catch on he explains things very well. He really knows his math and will answer any questions you'll have. Do your hw and show up to lecture if you want to pass. EC for hw is a huge help but it's useless on the test if you don't know how to do any of it lol

He grades mostly on exams or celebrations he likes to call it. They are out of fifty points and his homework counts into those exams. You do not have to do the homework but they help to study for the quizzes and exams and 5 percent of the exam. Not much but it helps. His lecture methods are long, boring, and weird so read up or use study groups.

Prof. Fouquet is different from most teachers. He's very chill and laid back, and generous about things. He warns you ahead of time for quizes/ tests, and what to expect. His test questions are undeniably difficult, but he tends to give you hints which severely reduce the difficult of the problem. Very talkative person and funny, strongly recommend

He grades exclusively on the exams. Your homework will give you about 2% extra credit per exam and acts like it's a gift from god, but it takes about 15 hours to do, and if you skip one problem it gets cut to about 1%. Personally, his lectures make me want to bang my head against a wall. If you're not a great math test taker, do not take this class

Great guy, very zen. I took him for cal 3 and thought he was a great teacher. He's very helpful, I asked him questions outside of his office hours and he still help. He also goes deep into explaining concepts, he understand that it's one thing to know how to solve math equations but its more important to understand whats actually happening.

Great teacher, i took him for Trig and he really made an effort to make sure his students understand the concepts. He does assign Hw but it counts as extra credit on the tests. Very smart man and makes coming to class an enjoyable experience. Attendance is also counted in you grade.

One of the best teachers I have ever taken here at Chabot College. Very passionate when it comes to teaching. Even though the last section of Calc 3 got really hard, he was always willing to help students. Don't just do the homework, actually understand the concept of the problem. Always ask questions and pay attention. Great teacher.

If you're taking his class for anything lower then Calculus, I would try a different teacher. He is incredibly intelligent, but he goes off topic during lecture and confuses students. Always 15 minutes late, and goes over to compensate. Disorganized, but very nice. I think he forgets he's teaching Trig not Calc 75% of the time. Very confusing lect

Extremely smart man who will take the time to explain things to you that you don't understand. Class is difficult due to the fact it's Calc 2, but with proper preparation (do all your HW/study guides) you will be fine. He drops your lowest test score/quiz and homework is extra credit. Talk to him during class/office hours to show your commitment.

Dave Fouquet is possibly the best professor I've ever had at Chabot. He is charming, witty, and truly passionate for his material, and will go the extra length to help you succeed. He will also do a lot to expand your vocabulary with his words of the day. I very much enjoyed his class and would love to take him again.

Fouquet is my favorite math professor, a man I give a lot of respect to, and my friend. Being my first calc class, I found this class incredibly difficult and stayed up till 5 am on rare occasions studying with peers. Regardless, I would recommend him because he drops the lowest quiz and HW is EC. Also, he taught me new words from the wordoftheday.

He is one of the best Professor in Math I took so far. The amount of HW is decent, but he give you a lot of time between due days. What I like about him is that he often relate some concept in math 3 to math 1 and 2, in the process, he review many materials in math 1&2 that you might have forgotten. Decent extra credit, fairly easy quiz and exam.

I had this class for morning so it was difficult getting up on time. He grades attendance as a quiz so that was the only quiz I did bad on. his tests are fairly easy if you do the homework and the quizzes as well. the final is a MUST STUDY. thought math 3 was easy overall and I like the way his hw is extra credit and drops lowest test/quiz grade.

Dave is a solid math teacher. He knows his math well. He dropped a good amount of the lowest scores by the end and offered a fair amount of extra credit along the way, both of which I greatly appreciate. Attendance = 1 quiz score. Do all the homework on-time and WORK the right answers(!) and you'll do fine.

Dave is passionate about math. His biggest downfall is that he is all over the place. I performed very well once I started reading ahead of him in the book. Otherwise you get lost while he teaches. Only five quiz's and three exams. At the end he drops a lot of points because most students aren't doing very well.

your average math teacher. if you dont understand something, you gotta figure it out. does give out sample tests before tests and pop quizzes but he tells you whatll be on it and when it is. usually class runs later than supposed to. hes a chill guy, but not easy. his tests are kind of hard compared to the hw.

Dave Fouquet is an excellent math teacher. He is always willing to answer any question with rich insight. A few times, I even caught him in his office "off the clock" and he was still willing to answer any question I had. You will get an A+ in this class if you are just as willing as he is to understand the material. He's there. Take advantage!

Great teacher, even though he is late to class everyday! (He also keeps the class late everyday). Very clear about everything and takes time out to explain anything you are unclear on. HW is not mandatory, but counts as EC toward exams. "Pop" quizzes(you get hints as to when they will be). Lots of bonus points on exams. Very much recommended!
