The harder it is the more she explains. Kind, hard at times (just to make sure you kick ass) & truly cares to help you succeed. A gem amongst many a lame math teacher. DO HW CONCURRENTLY W/ LESSONS (for ez mode), come to class always, read a lil & she has your back w/ the rest. From a former UCSB student, she's a dream come true y'all, at any lvl!

She is honestly the BEST math professor you can take! It's tough but as long as you show up to class and do the homework you will definitely pass! You will need a textbook (all the homework is assigned from there) Over all, amazing teacher, she makes learning the stuff way easier for sure! Plus she provides you with tutors if needed!

Hands down the best math prof., and also well known in the math department. I had a "hardass" even mention she simply the best. Her methods amazing, and will make Cal 2 bearable. . In fact, I going to finish the math series with dr. G. Also, her office is always open, and very friendsly

By far favorite prof ive had. Shes such a great teacher. shes always willing do help with your questions and makes it clear. her handouts are life saving. she gives you all of the materials to succeed. HIGHLY reccomend. graded on of pop quizzes, 4-6 exams, final. miss class and expect not to do well. optional HW but if you dont do it, good luck

May God bless her for as long as possible. There is not a better math teacher in town other than her this semester. She asked for students honest opinion without getting any extra credit. She is confident in what she teaches. STUDENTS in her class, DON'T SWEAT THE TRIVIAL MATTERS In class!! Don't wear her down, hear me? Just let her do her thing.

Dr. G is the best math teacher. I am the happiest person when it comes to taking her class. All of my previous professors at other schools were awful. I thought I gave up in math until I took Math 125 at LAHC that gave me courage to try 260. Her lectures are not disorganized as mentioned by previous rater. Her lectures are brilliant and she's witty

Dr. Gagrat is by far the best math professor in the LACCD. She is very thorough with her teaching and genuinely cares for her students. Her classes require your attention and are not for slackers. The tests and quizzes are as hard as you make them, so make it easy by doing the homework and PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. #Gagrat4Prez

Dr.G is an amazing teacher. The exams are fairly simple when compared to other profs, but she expects more. An "A" is 85%, and it extremely difficult to fail the class if a student tries his or her best. I decided to follow Dr.G through the whole cal series, and I refuse to take anyone else. She that good. Do yourself a favor, and take the class.

I love math and never really struggled with it until I took Calculus in high school, I still did well regardless but I didn't learn. When I took Gagrat's class, the things that my high school teacher taught were much simpler. I know many people aren't good with math, however with Gagrat, she makes it easy. Just work hard and you'll do well

This Professor is one of my all time favorites. I have a lot of respect for her. The way her mind works is amazing. You can sit there and watch her figure out any problem. If you ask her to prove a formula she will. I love and enjoy all the classes I have taken with her. I will be finishing all my math with her!

Hands down the best math prof. I ever had. Currently taking her, for the summer course. I already decided to follow her through the whole calc series. She goes really in-depth into a subject, and truly cares about the student. You need a 86 percent, for an A.

Dr. Gagrat is the best professor I've ever had. Her lecture is very clear. Just mimic her method first, and you'll understand what she's doing. Homework is not mandatory but her tests and quizzes are based on homework so you have to do it to pass the class. Ask her SI for help if you have difficulties. Extra credit problems on every test.

Amazing professor. Really cares about the students and wants them to understand. She has quizzes relatively often, but they're really easy. She gives progress reports throughout the semester to show you exactly how you're doing. A little disorganized on lectures, but great overall.

Hw is optional but you won't do well on tests w/o it. Guaranteed you'll laugh. Pay attention during lectures b/c they get intense. The test are not too difficult. You can get a C w/o trying too hard. EC points offered on some tests. Picky grader but she gives you a fair warning about what not to do. You can drop your lowest test score.

I have taken Math 265,266,267,270, and 275 all with Professor Gagrat. She makes math very easy to understand and grasp. If you are any STEM major that needs to take most of the math at LAHC, I would recommend taking Calc 1 with her in the summer and finish all the math with her in 1 year. Trust me, you want to take all the math classes with her!!!

i could not ask for a better math professor. missing a class can really put you behind. shes always willing to clarify any questions you may have. homework is not mandatory but if you do do the extra practice you wont pass the tests. your grade is based off of four tests, lowest is dropped, and there may be quizzes but shell maybe give 2 at most

Best professor I've taken so far, she's very lenient with her grading scale, but that doesn't mean we should take advantage of that. She really helped me understand Calculus a lot easier after I almost didn't pass it the first time , so she's definitely good to take for anyone trying to enter the Calculus series

She knows what is she is teaching but she doesnt know how to explain it to most of the students. She give a lot of hw and she offers to help any students but it makes it more confusing. If you take her, be prepared to YouTube, google, math lab and/or pray to God that he gives you the knowledge for the test since it is hard to follow her work.

If you fail this class, this is probably why: you don't show up, don't pay attention, or don't care enough to ask questions. Grade is based on quizzes/tests (drops a test) which are so SIMPLE, and a cumulative final. She also offers extra credit on her tests. Take advantage of the in-class tutor!! She is amazing!! Makes math so much easier.
