Comment:

Manes is extremely nice and very helpful. I enjoyed his class however there are three things to keep in mind: he stands directly in front of the board, homework is not manditory but you need to do it to pass the tests, and the tests are the only grades you get. I liked him but if I could I would have taken calc II with a different professor.

Comment:

Prof.Manes is a very good teacher. I took three classes with him and I understood everything in those classes. His exams are fair and his grading is also fair. No homework submissions makes life easy. If you fail to do homework then you will be in trouble. Exams are based on classroom notes mostly.

Sweetest man ever. However, he moves quickly and his lectures are very boring. If you do take this class, sit on the far right side of the classroom. Otherwise, you won't see the board at all. Very, very nice guy.

Worst teacher ever. Class is boring. He goes way too fast. Only gives grades on tests. Makes the weirdest curves so u never know what a 80 really sta Characters Typed: nds for. Tests are hard! He takes off points for stupid stuff on the tests. Writes too fast and stands right in front of what he writes so u cant see.

he is a really nice guy, and he is really helpful when you go in and talk to him. the classes are boring, and he goes really fast. tests are hard. calc 2 is hard in general, so def consider him. he is a good teacher, he explains things well, he just goes fast. he is willing to meet with you, and goes much slower, when explaining it one on one.

VERY fast. If you stop writing, you fall behind. But his entire lectures are examples, and usually the same problems are on the exams. If you can follow the examples, almost no need to do the homework. Tests are easy, with a sick curve. Highly recommended.

Most amazing guy ever..i took all three calculus classes with him. Just do the homework and you will be fine on tests. He is helpful during office hours, and with questions during class. Take Calc with him!

Very good class, not difficult at all if you did the homework, very straight forward about test material...says really random funny things sometimes to through you off, but it was enjoyable. Curves alot, grade will be good if you go to class, pay attention and do your homework.

Even though I suck in math, I loved the way how he taught the many "flavors" of calculus III. If it wasn't for his great personality, this class would be dreadful. Topics are easier than 173/4.

He has to be the fastst talking/writing professor on campus. Dosn't leave a lot of time for thinking about what your writing. He does have a sick curve on his tests tho. I think one was like 83-50 was a C. He's very funny sometimes also.

fast would be an underestimate. he's still talking after he finishes writing. no sleeping in this class. he's very easy, clear, and to the point. no BS. lots of examples. if you passed calc 1 and 2, you should have no problem if you do a few homework problems. tests are easy too.
