When I first started and looked a his syllabus, I thought I should drop the class right then and there. Ii gave it a shot and he really taught me a lot. I ended with an A in his class and he is extremely helpful. Scary, at times, but helpful. If I could take him over and over again I definitely would. Does crazy drawings on the board but hes unique

I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Sims. Really enjoyed his class. He makes you think and look at things in a different way. I learned a lot from him and thinks he has an amazing teaching style. I would take his class over and over again. Very neat guy.

I really enjoyed taking Mr. Sins class. Some of the materials he assigned us to read were definitely over my head especially the poetry. Overall he kept class very interesting and I learned a lot about literature and improved my writing. He likes original out-of-the-box ideas.

I had Mr. Sims for both my semesters of my freshman year for Enl 111 and Enl 121. He is not your typical Professor and assigned more out of class work than I had originally anticipated, but it all had a reason. It was generating material for one of the several papers we wrote for his class. I highly recommend him for those that what to learn.

Horrible. Did not teach, just rambled about how good of a writer he was. Very boring, talks over you head. I dont know how i passed the class, you write papers every night. Do not take him if you have to take comp2 just to get through your major. All he does is draw on the chalkboard.

Absolutely terrific teacher!! He really pushes you to think outside of your own world. He encourages his student to really think and expand your mind. As long as you show up to class, pay attention, and do the assignments, you will have no trouble in his class. If you do struggle, he's very easy to talk to. I got so much out of his class.

Sims is bottom line a good teacher. He is down to earth and has a practical teaching approach. The knowledge he gives you can most definitely use in the "real world". At times the work load is more than you want, but if you follow through with it you will learn a whole hell of alot. Best teacher i have ever had to this day. GO SIMS!

Great professor. Expects you to be competent; works with you and always ready to help but expects you to try your best. Down to earth and usu. laid back but don't be stupid and think he is going to let you get away with asinine excuses. Makes class fun and assignments, too. All around great experience. Great Professor! He is a fun guy and easy to get a good grade in his class just do the writing assignments(which are not very hard) He doesnt ask very much of you and if you take him 3 days a week he cancels alot of friday classes. Overall an easy class I took him for both english comp 1 and 2 I recommend him if you want an easy/fun class.

If you dont like english you should probably take this guys. He does more than just teach a class but helps open your mind to new things. I took this along with soc, and the two classes together made me think alot about the world around me. Great class
