Ms. Health is ridiculously boring! She rambles a lot and doesn't really answer questions. If you have a question be ready to yell bc she can't hear. She won't remember your name. She treats you like high schoolers & gets mad if you leave to take a call or use the restroom. She says you can work w/ a partner but marks you down for it. STAY AWAY.

Professor Heath is such a great professor. She makes the class fun and interesting because of her stories about her sabbatical journey's. She hints what is going to be on the test so I would recommend you write everything she says down!!!! test are straight forward and quizzes are fairly easy if you study. Take her !!! you won't regret it.

She is an amazing instructor. Her passion for the field inspired me to further my education and pursue marine biology. It can get a tad unorganized but the experience is worth it.

She's a tough professor. Work hard and show your dedication to receiving the grade you wish to receive. I worked at least 5 hours every week outside of her class to get an A (test weeks were more like 15-25 hours outside of class- studying, reviewing, and reading).

She goes off topic a lot and her lectures consisted of power points that didn't make sense at times. It's not manadatory attendance but she goes on rants if you miss class. She gives in class assignments So if you're not there then no credit for you. Says you can work on homework together but then marks you down for it. Recommend not taking her

Heath is a great teacher and I would take her again if I could find another class she teaches to transfer. Very passionate and that helps in a new topic, especially science. The class (oceanography) really opened my eyes to how much the oceans matter and what we have to do to keep them safe. Class is not easy but not really hard if you do the work.

Go ahead and take her class if you want to commit to study hard and do well on her exams and quizzes. Her lectures weren't as useful, so you'll just need to review all material on your own. She offers ways that are meant to be helpful... but really aren't. Extra credit won't help you as much, and don't try to lick her boots for a good grade.

awesome professor. Shes funny and gives great feedback and cares about each one of her students. Fantastic class i recommend taking it even just for fun. Its great to learn more about the mammals of the ocean.

What more could I want? (Ok, less writing.) Almost every class was at beach and we do things ourselves to learn about currents, waves, animals. You can't just watch everyone do it and then try to write a field report. Prof Heath got me to feel like a marine biologist after the 2nd week and I got into it. GREAT WAY TO LEARN & helps with lecture too.

Not what I expected, since I'm an arts major and don't like science much. But Mrs. Heath talks about how she saw all these things when she went to the Galapagos on her boat and also lived on islands to study seals and that makes it more fun and real. She knows a lot but doesn't make you feel stupid, she just wants you to learn. Go to class , read!

At first the class was so fun because we went to the beach and did our field work. Then it was too hard because I never wrote a field report before and she expects a lot. But at the end I figured out the reports and got an A. I even know what the birds at the beach are! She will help you as much as you want and she gets that I'm not a science major

I learned why the ocean has problems like too much fishing and global warming. Also, that I can have a good and bad affect on ocean and it matters a lot to the whole earth. Dr. Heath is passionate about helping class understand that and how awesome the ocean is. She goes on a sailboat and shows pictures of things we read about which is fun.

The subject can be tough but she is extremely helpful. Always there for you during her office hours to help you or answer any of your questions. I thought the class was interesting and she did a great job teaching it. Her tests are based mostly on lectures so don't miss too many classes. She drops a test and a quiz, 3 or 4 hwk assignments total.

You need to show up to class to pass. It's a lot of information, but Professor Heath is available to answer questions. She prefers if classmates help each other out as to remember the information better for tests. The Field trip to see whales during the grey whale migration is amazing.

She was a very good teacher. Very thorough and informative,you need to go to class to be able to pass as most of her tests and quizzes are based on lecture. You get a drop quiz and test and she is always willing to go over any questions you have. She's very easy going and she cares for her students. I'd recommend anyone to take her course!

Dr. Heath is very knowledgable and passionate about oceanography. She expects you to pay attention in her lectures and not talk or be on your phone (she will call you out!). She sends study guides and vocab sheets via email and offers help during her office hours so there isn't much excuse to not pass her class. Take her lab, too!

Dr. Heath was very good at explaining everything clearly. If there was something you didn't understand she would clear it up. However, class time Is crucial. You won't understand much just by reading the book. As long as you study for her quizzestests you should be fine. Other than that, very enjoyable class!

I don't know why she doesn't have a 5! She's a knowledgeable professor that's passionate about her subject matter. She does cover a lot of info but her tests are not hard if you pay attention and take good notes. I hardly ever opened the book. she's always available to provide her students with additional help. TAKE HER! I took her lab class too :)

She's a good professor who is helpful and nice. I really enjoyed the few assignments she had and learned a lot from them. She sends out a study guide a few days before each test. Her tests are really hard, though, so study for them! Though her lectures can be tedious, stay off your phones -it's disrespectful and you're an adult... Act like one!
