Dave is awesome. He will tell you if he doesn't know something and try to look it up. Read the textbook if you're having trouble with a particular section. The tests are hard so you need to study but the material itself is not that difficult and pretty interesting. The lab is fun too.

Dave is all over the place. Writes on the board rather than power points which causes class to drone on quite a bit. Tests not always directly from what he says in lecture which is extremely frustrating. Usually pretty tricky. He also does not seem to be very knowledgeable, most questions asked in lecture are answered with "I have no idea!"

Dave was awesome! Super interesting, made sure and applied the material to real life occurances, and used crazy examples, like eating dirt to demonstrate the mineral properties of soil. He goes off on tangents but they help, and he takes questions in the middle of his lectures. Tests can be tricky but if you go to class and study you'll be fine.

Reminded me of high school. Not a bad prof, but not great either. Typical geo-birkenstocks and granola. Tests sometimes a little tricky, plus is no books required but do take notes.
