He seems like a quirky guy, has a sense of humor that is compatible with mine, which is rare. Has a great mustache. Not always easy to understand. I suppose that he's one of the professors that you will do well with if you are already very smart. This class was very math-intensive. MA 171 is a prerequisite for a very good reason.

I enjoyed this class. A lot of math involved so make sure you take Finite and Prob & Statistics. Over all I liked Dr. Allen and would take a class with him again. I think he is very fair and yes I did sit and listen to his lectures.

Prof. Allen is very intelligent and very nice. His class does tend to get kinda boring sometimes. Study the test bank of questions and you will do fine.

Save yourself before you even get here, take another prof. He does not know what he's doing, thinks he does, but truly no clue. He doesn't have the answers to any of the homework, nor can he answer a question, but rather masters the art of confusing you more.

He is very boring and hard to follow in lecture. Nobody listens to him, everyone has their laptops and plays around on the internet. He does have a test bank with all the questions for the exams, so if you study from those, you should be able to get a good grade on the tetsts.

David Allan is quite boring and long winded, but he doesn't care about most anything, especially using computers for things not related to class. His assignments are not hard, but quizzes are. He's got a goofy sense of humor as well

Dr. Allen is not a bad guy. He is VERY intelligent. His assignments are easy and quizzes are hard. He will NOT give you less than a C if you come to class and try. Give him a try. It's boring but not bad.

Dr. Allen would be an excellen teacher if he were to take time out to actually teach. He talks in front of the class like we are all on the same page when in reality we are all completely lost. I think it is time to retire. If you must take this class, try to get a different professor.

Very hard to pay attention to in class, and overall very boring. He assigns child-like projects in classes, and you always have to do the end-of-chapter discussion questions, which is repetitious and pointless in many ways. He's not too hard, though.
