David Curtis Amidon was the best lecturer that I ever experienced and easily possessed the greatest mind of any teacher I had. Lehigh bestowed the "Lecturer" title upon him, as he did not have the requisite Doctorate of tenured faculty. He was so outstanding they kept him on such. Any student of his went to class simply because of the experience.

He cared about his students more than any other professor I have had in higher education. I learned more in his classes than in all my other classes at Lehigh combined. His perspectives on politics, academics, and family were desperately needed to balance out the more liberal faculty members and create a diversity of views at Lehigh.

Pretty bad. You learn a lot of right wing nonsense. You could learn the same useless information by listening to Rush Limbaugh. One time, I excused myself, when he decided to go on a rant about the "evils" of evolution.
