Dr. Baker was one of the most inspirational physics teachers I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. Amazing explainer, fair grader, and is genuinely cares about his students. Take this teacher if you are serious about having a career in physics because he will change your perspective and outlook on it.

He takes the time to administrate the department, be an excellent instructor, provides weekly review sessions(not just officehours), and takes the time to have heartfelt one-on-ones with every student he believes needs it. Once I made an 85 on a test. He told me he expects more, and asked what he could do to ensure I'm at the A-level. Truly amazing

This instructor cares enough to reach out to students that may obviously be struggling and switches groups around when he detects tension. He has sufficient pauses in what few lectures he gave (lab-based class) to allow for critical thinking. Tests are open book, you get to pick whih questions you answer, but still very challenging. I learned a lot
