Dr. Ball is a wonderful professor. His physical chemistry class was by no means easy, but if you kept up with the reading and homework you were generally prepared for the weekly quizzes. Tests are tough - definitely have to work for your grade - but he's a fair grader. Definitely the best physical chemistry prof at Cleveland State.

A professor who is tough but always clear on what he expects. His lectures are really easy to understand, but reviewing notes often is good because the tests are pretty hard!

Dr. Ball is great. If you have to take chem get Dr. Ball. He requires you to know alot but he explains it very well. Tests are rough if you dont study. Homework isnt mandatory but it helps a lot, especially for the tests. Only downside is there isnt alot of points available in the class, only like 200 points before the final.

Very engaging professor, class was never boring so it was easy to pay attention and stay involved. He encourages participation and questions. Homework is not mandatory but highly recommended. This class is challenging and requires a lot of time studying- the professor makes it clear through his hard, strictly graded tests and quizzes.

Great professor. Had him for college chem I. I opened my textbook about 4 times just to find some charts, thats all. He only puts concepts on the quizzes/tests that he goes over in class. Nothing else. His explanations are very good and encourages his students to "ASK". Chem is a hard subject, and I did have to study a little bit, but I got an A.

awesome teacher, somewhat difficult tests. attendance not required, but you'll fail if you don't go for the notes. homework isn't required, but do it anyway-it helps! he doesn't curve, but his tests and quizes are fair. definitely would take him again!

I just finished up my semester with him as my College Chem I professor. Excellent teacher. Very prepared for class, always encouraged students to be proactive and "Ask!" questions(even though the class had about 150 students). His class was tough: all of your grade depended on two midterms, a final, and 5 quizzes. I personally anticipate a high B.

He is an excellent teacher. Everything that is on his tests he has gone over in class. Very fair, but you must put in a decent amount of effort to do well. I took the class over the summer, and I think it would have been a better choice to take it during the regular semester.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Is always willing to help and wants students to do well. He is not easy and expects his students to take the class seriously. As long as you put in the time and effort, you'll do well.

Awesome professor. However I would recommend taking his class during th school year rather than during the summer. He explains things very well and is always patient and willing to help. Also has a good sense of humor and makes some pretty funny chemistry related jokes.
