Phil does not have any of the course material prepared. Going to class is pointless. He states himself that he does not teach a course, he "directs" it. Your grade is based on a single paper. He does a poor job explaining what wants the paper to be, and grades them mercilessly. Avoid if possible. You will learn nothing and will not get an A.

No one has any idea of what the presentations are supposed to be about and he will rip you apart while presenting, but it's only to help you. The final paper he heavily criticizes, so make sure that you go in and ask for advice. He is too smart for anyone to follow, but a nice guy. Just remember that delta W is the answer to everything.

Senior Finance Capstone class, however majority of groups had NO idea what to do for the paper. Also had an assignment using an online website to "business forecast"...2/3 of the class put in random numbers since he DOESNT EXPLAIN anything...dont have to go to class except to present...again no one knew what to expect when presentation time came..

Good professor. Likes to tell a lot of stories to fill in class time. Knows the essentials and tries to color things with humor. He never uses a book, take good notes and ask questions - you'll do fine.
