no tests quizzes or exams, a paper a week needed to be about 8 pages for and A. not too hard to write the papers they are on vary easy topics, i.e. death penalty, gay marriage. he may be boring but the class is easy

Took this as a Wednesday afternoon class (3 hours), and it was so bad after the first three classes that I dropped it. He would lecture for an hour and things would make a tad bit of sense, even though he's completely monotone and goes off on random tangents. Movie after. He expected a 10 page paper afterwords. I thought my papers were great: NOPE.

I like him, & his humor. He assigns readings every week & then makes you write an essay on it. It's a lot of writing & reading especially because the papers have to be long. I'd write 3-5 pages and get a C. I have to write 8 or 9 for an A. It's possible to get a good grade in the class, but you must work for it. Not a class you can breeze through.

His class is an easy A if you do the weekly assignment, and do the two debates. Dry sense of humor; however, I thought he was funny. For those saying their grades didn't improve, you must not have done anything, because I asked him what I could do to improve and within two weeks I went from receiving B- to an A each week. I would recommend him.

An odd guy but cool. Dry sense of humor. A weekly writing assignment, 3-4 pages long. Two team debates. Very hard grader. It seemed like our grades never changed from week to week, which is odd. No matter what, I got the same grade on my papers every week and so didn't my teammates and others I spoke to. I'd still recommend him though.

He took off crazy points for stupid things, like formatting. The class itsself was pleasant and easy to follow, but his grading of the assignments was ridiculous

Way too much work for a sociology elective. Sociological power. There's a 10 page paper in 11 point font, and you have to read four books. He is a decent instructor but is in no way outstanding

Great teacher. His classes are discussion based. Funny and knowledgeable. Almost too cool to be a professor. Breaks the stereotypes of professors that are boring and not interested in working with the students. He cares about the students.
