Beach is extremely qualified for his position, however his age is catching up with him. He often has trouble hearing students in class, and sometimes mumbles a bit. I cannot rate his teaching effectiveness... This was an intro class, and if all you do was show up to class, you couldn't fail. Nice guy, appreciates humor, but has seen better days.

This prof was horrible! I had him as a grad student, and he really doesn't know how to teach. The only reason they keep him around is because he writes grants. He needs to be replaced.

A professor who believes in effective communication which is good and with some idealogies that are not quite impressive. Can be weird somtimes and needs to more liberal with gradings.

Very good person. Stresses self-actualization through independence. Can use intimidation in his class which turns-off some students, but a mature audience will see this tactic as a learning experience. Take his classes, you will benefit from them.

The problem with Professor Beach is that you don't leave the class with a good understanding of material. I have had him for several classes that were prereqs for other classes and I was hurt by the fact that I didn't have a working knowledge of material

This professor was one of the most ineffective teachers I had at ISU. He is a weird individual, and can't explain anything in his lectures. He tries to intimidate his students, and brings out the worst attitude in his classes.
