This class was alottt but manageable. We were constantly doing group work and assignments. He is big on note taking and annotating. He works with you. Not a bad professor just kinda draining at times with the work

Had Blackmore for EC1 ALP Fall 16 & I don't regret it. He is a great professor that likes to get his students involved. He will make everyone work together in groups,will assign readings and reading responses for each class, very important to do! There are 4 papers in total that are straight forward. Easy class if you do your work and put effort.

I cannot believe I survived this class. Dr. Blackmore is very passionate about the English language and he wants you guys to learn about the history. He is very helpful and a great teacher. He will encourage you to participate and wants to know your thoughts. A lot of work is required to pass so if you are looking for an easy A this is not for you.

David was an okay professor. He assigns quite a lot of work, but do not get your hopes up if you did a good job or not. Working hard is one thing, but he is a really tough grader. All I can say is try your hardest, and give it your all I guess.

Dr Blackmore is a great professor. He's willing to help and actually cares that you learn, unlike some professors. He assigns one reading per class and most of them are interesting and you have to do the responses. VERY ESSENTIAL! Wanted to take him again, but it turns out he won't be teaching any classes spring semester. Disappointing. 5 Stars!!!

Dr. Blackmore is one of the best professors I have ever had for a few reasons. Firstly, he gives us relevant an interesting assignments. Also, although he expects a lot in terms of writing assignments he gives the opportunity to rewrite for a brand new grade. Also approachable and available.

He is brilliant, funny and approachable. He also gives ALOT of work but it is worth it. He is EXTREMELY helpful. Respect his class, do the work and you will be fine. Going in with a “I don’t care” attitude will not work. He is the kind of Professor that LOVES to teach and thats a good thing!

Dr. Blackmore is amazing. He knows his stuff and, if you pay attention, you can benefit a lot from his class. This class is not for the lazy! Do your weekly readings and responses. Submit your work on time, come to class and participate. Try not to get distracted by how incredibly hot he is. I can stare at him forever.

Best Professor thus far! I learned so much in his class.He utilizes many types of media to enhance his instruction which makes learning interesting. Very helpful, explains everything and allows his students to find their voice. Always positive in his responses and encouraging! Wish more professors in the Edu Dept were more like him! The BEST A+!

He gives daily small assignments rather then many large. You also have to occasionally write a paper. He is a bit tough on what he wants on his papers but he offers his help and insight so ask questions where you need help and you'll be fine. Overall the class was ok and he was a very nice teacher.
