I had this Professor last semester 2017. I wish i'd looked him before taking him. Rambles, Rambles, Rambles. He is constantly jumping all over the place. I hate to say this but he comes across scattered brained. Other than this, he is a very polite and nice man. I would not take him again though.

Comment:

This professor tends to go off course (within the context of history). Its clear that he is passionate about history and will often repeat a thought, just so that you understand the emphasize of that content. Be prepare to write notes (they will come in handy) and read, read, read. Otherwise you may be confuse. Overall he wants everyone to well.

This is a heavy lecture class. I've taken him twice and both classes were the same. You must have the book. That's all that really matters in the class. The essays are based on the book. His lecture matter for notes and details. There are no power points. There is no homework only test and quizzes.

Very interesting Professor, he tries to teach as much as he could. The only problem with him is that he doesn't give you a study sheet. If you follow his lecture, you should do well.

This is a very lecture heavy class. No PowerPoint, everything based on book. He stands in front of class and talks fast and you have to try and take notes. What he says in class is rarely on the test. The test have an essay section that he is looking for specific details.

Great teacher, makes the class super INTERESTING. Nice man, cares about his students but he won't be taken advantage of either. He encourages participation. If you do the work you will PASS. Stop looking for EASY As- this is college and you are adults now.

He's a good professor. A little hard to follow in the lecture and sometimes he's all over the place but if you attend class, pay attention, participate and give yourself enough time for the essays on the exams you'll do great. There's a lot of reading but the exams itself are not hard if you do the reading and pay attention.

Professor Blancher was amazing! This is a lecture class so be prepared to take notes but he makes the lectures very clear and understandable. His readings are fairly short but you have to do them. His test are very straight forward and if you show up to class and listen as well as read the textbook, you will do very well.

I DO wear my seat belt to school so I can enjoy his class! But please do not miss his class sessions. The quizzes he gives out are all from the textbook and his Exams are from the notes and textbook. Very kind and a knowledgeable teacher. I would gladly take him again. 1110

Prof. Blancher is an amazing history lecturer. There is a lot of material but if you follow his readings and do little extra reading you will pass with an easy A. He's a sweet guy, makes corny yet funny jokes but he is also work-oriented. He wants everyone to pass, all you have to do is put in the work. His exams and quizzes aren't hard either.

Amazing professor. A bit repetitive, however, he genuinely cares about the students and is willing to explain himself as many times as possible until his students understand. I took his class this summer, the tests were sometimes intense because of the essays but he is really fair and would give you extra time. I would take another class with him.

Professor Blancher is the best. He is very respectful to all his students and cares very much. Yes, he does talks a bit fast, however he will happily repeats if he has to. He is not judgmental and a good listener. Take him I promise you that you will not regret it.

Prof. Blancher is awesome! Make sure you write down what he says because it will be on the tests. He tells very interesting stories that taught me a lot, and made class extremely intriguing. I wish more teachers were like him. I didn't mind the work because I enjoyed this class so much. He is a sweetheart.
