One of the most kind and sincere people you will ever meet. Workload is very light, exams are large in part remixes of problems you have done in class or in homework. I have taken many classes with this man and if you have an opportunity to you should as well. Genuinely cares for all of his students.

Great guy, very smart. Sometimes over-complicates things but overall means well. Very chill guy, showed up to class late every day and never said a word. The class is hard if you aren't a math genius, must study to get a good grade. From what I've experienced he's the best math teacher on campus

Smart professor, but over explains things to the point where they make zero sense. A lot of the hw problems were not like examples done in class which made it hard to work on. When you ask for help on a question, he tries to lead you on the right path but usually ends up not being helpful/making it more confusing. Exam 3 sucks but the others are ok

Dr. Calvis is the nicest guy in the world. He explains things clearly and rarely makes mistakes, unlike other math teachers. He always tried showing us how calculus applied to every subject, since no one in my class was a math major. He always gives good reviews for his tests, so it's hard to fail.

Very comical, super cheesy though. Only assigned 10 problems a week which is a very light load compared to other profs teaching this course. Lets you use an equation sheet on the test so you have to basically be an idiot to fail.

Great Prof. Makes things clear for those of us who arent math people like myself. This is the first time in my life I leave a math class feeling like I understand at least some of it. If you have to take a mandatory math class go with hinm, you wont be disappointed

BEST math prof at BW. He is the nicest guy and is always "happy for questions", plus he's HILARIOUS with his random comments. He's a pretty easy grader, but the tests can be challenging (it is Calc III). Just make sure you don't forget to study cuz he makes everything seem so easy and fun, but you still have to work on it or the tests will suck

From a non-math perspective, Dr. Calvis breaks the concepts into smaller pieces, making the material easier to manage. More laid back than other professors; making approaching him for questions easier. He genuinely wants people to succeed, so other non-mathers, like me, would do well getting this bothersome component out of the way with him.

Dr. Calvis is probably the best in math dep. at making students feel relaxed. Also incredibly friendly and likeable. A warning: if you're intelligent, study on your own, otherwise you might get by too easily.

Was told he was by far the best Math prof at BW. Then I had him for 1 day of calc 2 (as a sub), The man is simply AMAZING!!! He was able to simplify the material so that we as students could understand it. He's sooooo smart, yet stays grounded to meet his student's needs.
