Dave is easily the best professor at USM. His tests are tought but definitely doable. He truly wants all his students to succeed and will do all he can to make that possible. The exams are short answer, but he determines grades based on comparing your answers to other students

His slides are always disorganized and he always tries to make weird analogies that dont even help. He's really nice and not intimidating if you need extra help! Lectures seem useless since i learn everything from the book. Read the chapters before each quiz and you can get an A!

To start off, he is a good person who knows what he is talking about. The bad thing is that when hes talking in his lectures all he talks about is "oh the cells are having a crazy dance party." It was hard to learn anything properly because he just compared everything to marriages and crazy dance parties and didn't use any precise terms.

Best professor ever. Super laid back and funny. Knows that we have more classes than just his. Grades on a scale. Very personable and helpful. Open to questions in class. Knows a lot about biology, school options, research, etc. Really nice guy. Tests are hard, but manageable if you study.

Great professor. Awkward yet yet very funny and down to earth personality. He has a somewhat laid back teaching style but very easy to follow. He makes the material interesting. He is a funny guy and is good and keeping the students listening, but if I had a penny for every time he said "Ummmmm.. yeah" or "hmmmmm... right" lets just say I would be rich enough to not be in his or any classes. His tests are very hard. His lecture is about the big picture and the tests he expects you to know ever little detail. Not the best.
