I really enjoyed his class. He is kinda boring but then again so is the content. He explained material well and is understanding. There is a good amount of homework and if you miss an assignment it can really hurt your grade. 90% of test, quiz and homework questions were on quizlit. Gives 15 bonus points to students with perfect attendance.

He is so BORING. The class is literally him talking monotone the whole time. A lot of assignments are due on the weekends so do not forget about them because it will take your grade down a lot. Almost everything is done online. He takes attendance every class and will give points for good attendance at the end. Work is HARD.

Really boring. But go to class bc you will probably need the attendance bonus points. A lot of the work is online, and the hw and quizzes online are a lot harder than you would think. I always read the chapters and notes and still averaged an 80% on hw and quizzes. I recommend taking the class seriously, bc I didn't and it's my only B thus far.

If you attend class, you can receive bonus, however sitting through the lectures can be quite tough! It's not an energizing environment and it is easy to get bored. There are 3 exams but they are most of the course grade besides homework and quizzes that are all online (but HARD!)

Easy class if you are willing to study the notes and go to class, gives 15 bonus points if you do not miss a class and 12 for missing 1 and so on. Lectures are pretty boring but gives you hints of the essay questions on tests. Not a bad professor. Recommend.

While he can be boring, Dr. Culp is very knowledgeable about his subject and very willing to help students. This is not an easy A course, you definitely have to put in effort, but he is a fair grader and follows his syllabus. If you work hard you can get an A no problem.

Great professor, not an easy course. You definitely have to earn your grade. He gives many examples (especially using food) and can be boring, but the success of his students is very important to him. Reading or skimming the textbook is very helpful for doing well in this course. I understand macroeconomics now, I highly recommend taking Dr. Culp.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but you will get bonus for attending, which will probably be needed. He expects you to know economics, but that the point of the class, right? Cracks a few jokes and is always willing to talk after class if he doesn't have a meeting. Quick response to emails. Has you focus more on theory than just formulas, which I liked

Great professor. Very fair and extends the deadlines for assignments. He is very knowledgeable about what he is teaching. His tests are pretty easy if you skim over the book and pay attention in class. If you do not get a good grade its your fault. The essays he assigns force you to learn the material!

Had him for macro and micro. One of the best professors I have ever had. 30+ yrs of teaching experience. Gives crystal clear examples in class. I could see where people have problems, as the material is not the easiest to learn. He is very fair!! You earn your grade!! Study hard!! Gives 15 bonus points for perfect attendance. Exams very fair.

A great professor who wants to see students succeed. I had him as my advisor as well as a professor. Always willing to make time to see students even if it means he would have to stay late. Actually have to do work in his class. In my opinion one of the only good professors at SRU.

Dr. Culp's exams were semi-difficult. Reading the book helped. He explained things very well and used examples that you can relate to. He gives the exam essay questions before the exam.

I had him for intermediate Macro in 1996 and I liked him. He visited me when I was on my internship and was impressed and gave me a favorable grade. He knows inflation and macroeconomic policy better than anyone I ever knew. If you decide to take the class as a part of your liberal studies program, take something else.

this man should not be employed by sru. They should send him packing. Dr. Culp is NOT a nice professor. He is arrogant and doesnt want to be bothered with students problems. He says he explained things clearly but obviously didn't when half of the class misunderstood the assignment. He never smiles and seems annoyed that he has to be in class.

Do not take Dr. Culp unless you are an Econ major. He knows his stuff & that's how he lectures. He did however, try to give Elem examples, but they were still over my head. Go to class, READ THE BOOK, take the notes & get a study buddy. Don't expect curves (4 exams, homework and 1 Extra credit)

Two things. One, he is the person in charge at the school of business but he is understandable if students would just pay attention and accept the fact that they aren't being spoon-fed the information. Two, people have no idea how to rate Dr. Culp, the material is simply above your head.

He was a very difficult professor. If you are in a large class he will not e-mail essay questions out before hand. To give you an idea on his tests the general distribution was 2 A's and around 70 D's and F's and this was out of 90 people. If you want to do well you'll have to study like crazy.
