Calculus II is not bad. You just need to go to class and do you're hw. Dempsey gives 10 free points every test. Make sure you try your best on the quizes even though he drops the lowest grade (quizes count as 1 test grade) because you will BOMB the third test the class average with scale was a 66. So I regret not trying my hardest on the quizes!

He's an awesome teacher. He explains things very well, and lectures are thorough. He allows students to write problems they want to see worked out on the board and he spends most class working these problems and still spends time on lecture. He includes historical reference and origin of mathematical terms. Doesn't leave out a single detail.

Dr. Dempsey is the best math professor I've ever had, but he is HARD! You will be quizzed every day, and those points add up fast. He drops one grade if the final exam is better, and there's plenty of bonus points. Just be prepared to work super hard for them. Regardless, I learned so much from him and would take him again.

I am not a math person...I made a 150 out of 150 on the first test and continued to make high marks. He is super helpful and genuinely cares about his students. He is the best math teacher I have ever had. If I needed more math, I would definitely take him again! Highly recommend.

Great teacher who will always answer any question you have. Makes sure your ready for quizes and test everyday with reviews. Dosnt check HW. Make sure you go to class everyday, or youll probably fail because there is a quiz everyday of class. We also did a thing called ALEKS that takes about 60 HRS of out of class time that reviews alot of old math

Dr. Dempsey is by far the best math teacher I have ever had in my life. I definitel recommend him as a teacher. His tests can be difficult but as long as you do your homework and study then you'll be fine. He doesn't try to make the tests or quizzes hard to try to trick you. GREAT TEACHER!!!

Dempsey is such a great professor, very friendly & made me understand math more than I ever have! He let me stay in the course even though I was not suppose to be in there. Helps you in any way he can. Fair on exams & gives partial credit. Do your homework (lots of it). Although it's not graded, it will affect your *performance* come test time! A++

The best math professor BAR NONE!!! I'm currently trying to get him to teach all of my math classes from here on out because I can't stand any other teachers besides him, Dr. Case, and Mrs. Primm that I've had so far. His tests are really hard but you'll be better mathematicians for it. He'll show you where everything derives from as well.
