I expected her to be more professional. After telling us we couldn't eat in class because it was rude, she procedeed to lecture WHILE CHEWING. She's distracted, disorganized, and unprepared, and I was sorry we did not have the opportunity to fill out an evaluation for her. Her erratic behavior was distracting from the material.

Very nice woman. She expects you to come in a lot outside of class though to work on projects. You do cool projects though and she's fun and spunky. I agree with some other comments saying she's slightly disorganized but she's just sorta that "type".. the funky, cute, artsy, all-over-the-place type haha

You pretty much go to class to get a good grade. When she taught my class she gave a daily quiz that was really easy and she let us use our notes. People that get a bad grade in her class are dumb. Just go to class, take notes, and you're golden. She is disorganized and extremely boring but she is way better than the other teach, so I've heard.

Absolutely the worst professor ever. She is so disorganized to the point where you will have no idea what your doing. She gives a quiz everyday that is nearly impossible to ace because of the way she teaches. (showing slides of "art" and forcing you to remember everything about them. I've had bad professors and she's by FAR THE WORST. AVOID

The class was unorganized and extremely long. She just shows you slides of art work and expects you to memorize them all by seeing them once in class and visiting the wall. Don't take her intro to art class, I'm sure she's excellent as a studio art teacher. Also the book was expensive and not totally necessary

Absolutely horrible teacher. Very unorganized with everything she does. She forgets to tell you things. Has word bank on test but forgets to put half of the answers in bank. Gives you a lot of extra credit but thats because students do so poorly. I wouldn't advise you to take her Intro to Art class.

It us pretty easy, but time consuming. She doesn't even bother to learn your name. I don't know if it's a art teacher thing but she isn't a real teacher. She doesn't teach you anything either. I had her in art in the self contained classroom. I got an A. She is just not a good teacher, if you can even call her that.

i had her for art history, and it was hard at first. She never really clearly stated what was going to be on the test until the third test. Although, she offers a ton of extra credit. The studying is pretty easy if you know what you are studying, just strict memorization. She genuinely cares about your grade. Nice. Just study.

melinda is a great person. if you want to just get an easy credit forget it. she sets up timelines and you are responsible to meet them and she is usually around if you need help.this class is for serious art students and not to be confused with something to fill your gen ed requirments. take theatre or something.

Shes a nice prof., but this class is insanely expensive. I spent over $300 and I only bought what was required. This class also takes a ton of outside of class time. If you like art and you don't mind living in the art room, then go for it.
