Extremely lazy and unprepared. Still basking in the glory of an article he had published in 1994--he'll show it to you on cite seer every night if you let him. He can go entire semesters without referring to "library science."

Actually, I always found him willing to help interested students--even someone without much background. He was well prepared for classes and able to handle any sort of student quesion. He presentations were clear and his exams were fair.
