If you skip class you will not pass, you need the material that he teaches in lectures for the test. The tests are tough but if you study, do the labs, and go to class they should be fine. There is one paper, its about 20 pages I believe but half of it is pictures. I really enjoyed his class he was really nice and I would take it again!

He's amazing. You know that he's an expert in the field with a PH.D. He explains everything in depth and is very helpful when it comes to learning the material. . The course can be a little challenging at times but he ensures his students pass and succeed. Without a doubt, I recommend him for Astronomy. You rock Dr. Yoh!

A great professor and a cool guy, he'll teach you a lot. I would definitely take him again because he gives informative lectures and great feedback. There are some multiple-choice and short-answer homework and no papers. The tests are composed of the hw questions and there were no group projects either. Even if you don't love science, take Yoh.

He's a very passionate professor. He really loves science. Exams are identical to the blackboard assignments... Go to class, do the homework, pay attention to key subjects for the essay questions... and you will excel. HE SAYS "HERE" A LOT AND YOU WILL NEED TO LEARN TO TUNE IT OUT. HE LITERALLY SAYS IT AFTER EVERY SENTENCE. LOL. Nice day here?

Take him and you can BS the labs, which are only 10% of your grade. He gives the answers to the labs after you have completed them. Do the chapter reviews, and look at the answers at the back of the book. this will prepare you for the test. He grades on a curve. I'm not good with science, but I managed to get a B. TAKE HIM! TAKE HIM!

Although his class was boring, it was easy. He gets most of his test questions from chapter reviews which are at the end of each chapters. He spends usually the first half of the class with lectures, so feel free to walk in late. He posts them on blackboard. DO ASK HIM QUESTIONS. The more he responds to your question, the less you'll have to study.

Just do the quizzes in the back of the chapters, do all the labs and the papers. Can be boring at times if you're not interested in astronomy. Very nice professor. Some labs are really fun.

Overall, good professor. Tests aren't terribly hard. Just be sure to study EVERYTHING that you do in class; powerpoints, labs, etc. There are some assignments, but as long as you get started early, they aren't hard. And he does have a thick Chinese accent, but he's funny and for the most part easy to understand.

He has a very thick Chinese accent..and says the word "here" every two seconds. He gives you a lot of information and definitely knows his stuff. A couple papers and exams which are a pain in the butt. Real boring..and rarely lets you out early.
