His my absolute favorite teacher at CCD. Not only is he extremely intelligent he makes you think out of the box. Intelligent humor which not many people have these days and wrote his own textbook, which to me is very impressive. He made me want to become an anthropologist and I would have if I wasn't so far along in my major. Highly recommend him

Great teacher. His lectures are always entertaining, insightful and well thought out. Syllabus consists of three essays and three exams. The latter of which do require revision. Overall, the class is not difficult if you are prepared to show up for class and do the readings.

Eller expects students to think, remember what he is teaching, and give well-thought-out answers. He writes a large amount of notes on the board, asks a lot of rhetorical questions, and stays close to his lecture plans. If you work hard and want to learn, you will gain knowledge, and more importantly, critical thinking skills. I give him an A+
