He is funny, but I needed a professor, not a comedian. Terrible teaching and somewhat lazy.

Listen, organic chem is not an easy subject. Lectures are only 50 minutes, so if you expect a professor to spoon feed you the subject then you should change majors. Evans is not the best teacher but he's also not the worst, he does care about his students. You will not learn orgo in a class, you MUST put in HOURS of time outside of class.

Evans is a funny guy and I love him as a person, but when you are blaming your students for the exam average being below a 50, there is a problem. He gives you TONS of information waits 2 seconds for someone to ask a question and then moves right along. There is no time to breath in his class. 4 exams and a final and quizzes every friday. TOO HARD!

Very hard teacher. If you do not understand the first month of the class, you're screwed. Very sarcastic and funny, but not teacher material.

You probably will need help outside of the class because he is difficult to understand unless you speak chemistry but really works with you if you show your trying.

Dr. Evans assumed the average student knew way to much, and generally didn't explain anything unless you asked (Orgo's not a good subject to be able to ask intelligent questions about). Generally made it clear if you didn't understand, you should go to SI, and let the students teach you instead, cause he just didn't have the time for you.

He isnt a bad teacher, know your nomenclature and you'll do fine. Dont expect to come in and memorize everything. He loves those tricky questions to really make you think. The best advice is to sit down and learn every mechanism before the test.

After having a great organic teacher like Norwood, Evans was especially bad in contrast. Likes to make it as hard a possible b/c he can obliterate peoples' chances at med school. Short man's complex.

he is a great professor. of course the class is hard because it is organic chemistry... it's not his fault. he does as best as he can and makes it as enjoyable as it could be. he's always willing to help you outside of class.

Dr. Evil as he like to be called is the best prof i have ever had he makes you learn the materal instead of trying to memorize it. It though is crule but fair motto was appropriate. If you are looking to be spoon feed the info then think again.

He is a very nice guy, but mumbles incessantly, and frequently drools during lecture. Also, he should erase the board once in a while. And I think his underarm alarm went off one too many times.
