this guy is obsessed with red wine and white wine; he uses those two as his example for more than 6 of his lectures. the exams are a bit hard because you don't really learn from his lecture, so in order to pass, you would have to study on your own.

Professor Fairris is an okay professor. There are two midterms and a final. Tests are difficult but curved. Hard to follow during lecture because he goes at a super fast pace. Even though I put a lot of effort in class, I was unable to get above a "C" on the tests. I would take a different professor if you are not great at Economics.

Professor Farris is amazing. His lectures are based on speech, so taking notes is all up to you. I struggled through AP Econ in high school but his lectures made everything more understandable. He is very easy to talk to, always willing to help. Class is very difficult, and so it is important to always follow through your notes and stay on it.

He went a bit fast during his lectures, but he does upload them online and reading the textbook and doing the study guides is a good supplement for the exams. He was fair in letting us know what the exams would cover, will curve them if students do poorly. People who rated him poorly probably didn't put enough effort into the class.

I'm a visual learner & he does not stop talking nor writes anything down. He talks too fast and makes odd noises that throw you off. Definitely not an engaging class. I can never tell what he's talking about.

Just be ready to stare at graphs for intro micro, easy A for me but I know my friends struggled. Sometimes his lectures may be confusing but that's why you might need to a read a bit on your own. Clicker questions almost every lecture, be sure to show up. Final wasn't that difficult, nor were the midterms.

Lectures are confusing and he doesn't explain clearly. Test are curved and you go partial credit. Tests are based of his slides and the study guides. Book not necessary he puts it on reserve.

There are clicker questions everyday so don't miss class! There are two midterms and they're quite hard but he does curve them a lot. However he does give you a great study guide so just go over those and you'll pass the class. Books are on ereserve so you won't need to buy a book!

I personally got annoyed being in his lectures. I was very frustrated with how fast he switched his overhead notes. His clicker questions were a joke, I did not like how you got no points for getting the question wrong. It would be at least nice to get 1 point out of 3 for just going to his lectures.

He's not that bad but I wouldn't take him again. Frankly, his class offers 3 things that I hate most in school: Exams, Group presentation, and term paper. I know exams are inevitable part when you take a course in university but I have never seen the class that requires term paper and group presentation like this class.

If he teaches 119 (Law and Economics) again, take his class!!! The class materials are on e-reserves and his lectures clarify anything that might confuse students (some non econ students had trouble with microecon concepts and his lectures helped them pass with flying colors) His lectures are fun and his exam(s) aren't difficult. Almost an easy A

One of the better intro to microecon professors here. Attend lecture, discussion, and be very, very careful on the online homework. It is worth a lot of points and is rather tricky. It's honestly harder than his midterms and finals which are curved. He also holds review sessions which is very helpful. Getting an A is very possible.

If you read all the chapters and go to every lecture you will get a B at least. He curves the midterms and final.
