Grammar and Usage is difficult. You have to do the reading and pay close attention to get down the concepts. Everything truly builds on the first couple weeks. Not as easy as other posts made it seem. I have a 3.7 GPA. I got a C+ on the first quiz.

Easy prof, easy class. Super-biased, though. I got an A on every exam and assignment (every single one) and participated in every class. But somehow ended up with a B+ for a final grade. I can't believe a professor would be that immature.

He is the kindest man in the world. We had to write our own thesis papers and a third of the students didn't write actual thesises. Instead of writing a C or D on top of your paper, he didn't grade it at all and let you rewrite it. He also met with every student to help them with their papers. He is helpful and he obvious loves teaching.

David is an interesting fusion of Tommy Chong and Socrates. He knows style and he knows how to teach it, and you will come away from this class understanding writing better than you could ever dream of. Take this course.

Grammar Stlye and Usage. Should be a required class for everyone coming into college even though it can be boring. Your writing will improve drasticly...mostly through editing skills. Do the homework and its an easy A. Professor? Meh. Not very personable, a little picky, but fair and clear.

i was dreading taking this class, but it ended up probably being the most useful writing class i have taken. it's a boring class, but david tries his best to make the most of it. can miss a lot of class, notes are posted online. gives you practice tests so it's sooo easy to get 100s on the real ones. easy A if you study and do the BS homeworks.

I took persuasive argument with david. So, very very very tedious. What is a thesis? A thesis is A + B + C......... Good. Now what is a paragraph? - Nice guy, means well, not involved w/students; strange sense of humor. Good material choices, boring class.

A funny guy stuck with boring courses. He only really cares about business though so don't really look for help outside of class, sympathy, or friendship. Just pay attention and laugh cause he will make you!

He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. His office was almost always open and he would go that extra mile to show you how to do better.
