Fonken was a good professor; his class structure was really great. He did brief "for your own use" quizzes at the start of class that would later show up on exams. The quizzes also meant if you were a few minutes late, you didn't miss any of the day's lesson. Also, he usually ended with a sort of summary. The assigned homework was helpful.

Dr. Fonken is an excellent professor who teaches with clarity. He begins each class with a review of what was learned in the previous lesson. His tests are very, very based off of lecture examples, so it's good to go. Attendance is not mandatory, but highly recommended. No mandatory homework, but also highly recommended.

David Is an excellent teacher! He is always there for students. I have never liked math but David makes it understandable and interesting! if i need anymore math classes in the future, i will be looking for David!

Very good teacher, however, his tests are very difficult if you do not attend lecture. Do not slack off in this class. I learned the hard way that you have to really EARN your grade for Dr. Fonken. Take him if you want to learn. Again, great teacher, difficult class.

Took him as a long distance course. Liked him, seemed to always answer any questions needed. Only regret was that he would not give us reviews for test. It was a lot of chapters to try and go over book chapter reviews for the test. Good teacher though.

Great guy, extremely clear and approachable! He teaches intuitively and has good examples. Homework load is moderate, tests are straightforward, and he cares for the success of the students. I recommend Professor Fonken!
