He is very interesting as a person BUT all of his work is online and TIME CONSUMING. EX: Watch 3 videos that are an hour each then write 2 page papers for all of them. Oh wait! Read this and write thesis statements. This was EVERY two weeks in his class. Ungodly amounts of homework that are not even about the traditional Diversity topics!

Started ok with discussions but then he started making homework online that is unreasonable and doesnt fit the class description. We had huge projects due on evolution when its a class titled intro to diversity

Great class, he enjoys when you speak your mind. But he talks a lot, and going to class is pointless. We just talk about racism and such (which is fine), but it's not an actual class. All the work is online, so don't take this class if you're bad at online classes. Oh, and there's a lot of group work.

Ok, Dr. Gabbard is a nice guy, and at the beginning we had discussions and that was ok, but now we are all lost. He gives us these REALLY hard worksheets that are all essays. The first one took me 5 hours! The second took me about 3 1/2! Try another teacher, because I am honestly not learning a thing.

Dr. Gabbard lectures, it seems he likes to go off in a tangent. We never really used the book, and at the begging of the year we took tests, now he has completely changed the class structure. It is difficult to understand what is going on in this class!!

I took Dr. Gabbard's class last semester and found it to be very interesting. He sheds light on a lot of problems in education that I was not very familiar with. His class was very easy as long as you showed up. Definitely take this class!!

First of all, he is very helpful with his students, and will help you with problems outside of class. However, his class is very politically pointed, and if you are not a devout liberal leftist, you may wind up tuning a lot of the things out altogether. The textbooks pretty much attack the right for all of education's problems./

Great professor. Has a passion for his job. VERY helpful and understanding. Offers different views to America's views of education. Great class, you won't leave the same. Read the assignments, take notes, and you'll be fine.

This class requires a lot of reading. If you are not a reader do not take this class. Sometimes you will have 2 different chapters to read before class and they are like 30 pages each. He does not talk about the stuff you are suppose to read in class so you HAVE to know the material.

He gives a different perspective to education. Very knowledgable of field; focuses on political side of education. Huge paper due at the end of the year. Keep everything he hands out to you, read everything he assigns on time, go to class and you should be fine.

I took History of Ed. with him and learned absolutely nothing. He does not tell the truth about anything. Example: He said that he was an Army Ranger; when I asked him about it, I found out that he was not.
