This class is such a mystery. He was pretty boring and monotone, but then he would casually bring up how he burned his draft card protested in the 70s. If you have a good TA and are interested in the material (my class was Law and Society) then I think it's worth taking. But I wouldn't take the class simply because he was the professor.

I don't understand all these horrible ratings. I almost dropped Sociology of Law because of them but I'm glad I stayed. He may be a tad boring but lectures aren't that mandatory as long as you do all the readings and are actually a decent writer. Good class and intelligent professor. Don't be afraid to sign up for his class.

He was awful! Completely uninteresting. It was very hard to pay attention to his lectures. Google "david greenberg nyu" and click the first link and read his bio. ITS HORRIBLE!! He never even took a sociology class in his entire life! uugh

Unapproachable but very intriguing... There's a lot to this guy and you probably will only see the surface. The rest is shrouded in secrecy. Forever. Only to be alluded to in his jokes during lecture. A very good professor, though.
