Although I recieved a B+, I can definetely say it was not because of Karmon. I tried so hard and actually the average for the final was a 40% and I recieved a 56%, so I geussed he curved at the end. Very boring, if you want to help your grade out, do all the wiley assingments. Absolutely terrible! ALmost likes he hates himself

this guy is the ABSOLUTE worst. He is so incredibly boring and monotonic..i think he enjoys seeing students fail..literally test averages on the tests were mid 60's% all year...i havnt heard of anyone getting higher than a C+ in his class.

Nice guy, but a very hard class. His test are very tough so make sure you study a lot. Try to do really good on all your homework to help make up for lower grades on your test.

Really nice professor, but very hard class. Doesn't give out too many A's. He's extremely boring which doesn't help the class. Just make sure you do the homework & study hard for the tests. I spent 5 hrs studying for our last exam and got a 75 and accounting usually comes pretty easy to me.

Less of two evils. CMU needs to hire another teacher for this course. He is awful teacher and somewhat of a jerk. Very low energy and a bore. Made me change my major because i didnt want to end up like him. Dont think you can, if u get the chance RUN

Doesn't have a very aggressive teaching style. He teaches off excel. I love excel, but I really don't think teaching off of it is a great idea. You tend to get confused where things are coming from. Not hard, exams are on blackboard. Bad thing is they are very short so it's easy to screw up. Uses notecards as a seating chart. Kind of strange.

Dr. Karmon is a great prof! He makes things easy to understand and remember. If anything, the only downfall is that you may have to get used to his teaching style, but trust me, it's effective. I'm taking him again for 302 & 501 in the summer : )

Dr. Karmon is an extremely nice guy, and I found his teaching to be very clear and effective. He provides formatted notes that are very easy to follow, and he guides you through problems and shows you how to solve them. This is definitely not an easy class, and it's undoubtedly very hard to teach, but Dr. Karmon does a nice job.

I think Dr. Karmon is one of the easiest accounting professors to understand and learn from. His format for the class was really helpful. I'm taking 501 with him in the fall! Excited it's him and not some others.

Dr. Karmon is one of my favorite accounting professors so far. He makes things easy to understand with his formatted notes to follow along with. Also, he lets you take notecards to some of the tests, which are exact copies of in class problems, but with different numbers. He's really easy going and he'll give you a good grade if you put in effort.

Even though Dr. Karmon makes his class incredibly hard, studying is of the essence, I would know since I did receive an A. The best time to take his class is if you have 2 classes during the regular school year or if your taking 1 summer class. The key to getting a good grade is to study and GET TO KNOW HIM..........!

He makes everything so right up front. He isn't probably the best teacher but his homework and test are almost identical. Plus the quizzes are on the books website so you shouldn't miss one point on them.
