He is a good guy who is clearly over his head. He seems more interested in reminding his students that he is the "chair" of the program than anythinng else. He does not teach. You show up to class, get a handout for solving complex work that we have yet tonencounter in our reading. Stay away from this class... Far away

He doesn't teach in his classes. He is easily the worst professor I have ever had. I would not recommend taking his class. He does not use the book but if you want to learn in this course you will need to go to sources other than Keil. He's a good guy -- but he should not be teaching at a university level. Consider any other professor!

Very unorganized, and gets very flustered when asked mulitple questions. If you must take this professor be prepared to learn the subject matter purely on your own. Do your absolute best to understand his grading system and just complete objectives as soon as you can.

The higher level computer courses offered are tough no matter how you look at it. He makes an effort to break it down into many topics throughout the semester, and allows for test make ups, which is huge. He is available for help in his office and attempts to answer questions as often as possible.

Worst professor I've ever had. Unorganized, waste time (all of October), classes taught in lecture hall. Unclear grading system. I went to CASA for tutor help and even they were confused by his questions. I will be avoiding this teacher at all cost in the future. I want my money and time back. Seriously jeopardizing to my progress towards a degree.

Keil is a very poor professor. He's very unorganized & doesn't know the material himself. His grading system is so confusing that even he is confused about it. For a month, class lectures involved him re-explaining his grading system. Class lectures go nowhere. To pass the class, you must teach the material yourself. Avoid him at all costs.

He has no idea what he's doing. He rambles for half the class then asks if people understand him. No one does. If you are a CS major, go to a different college to avoid professor Keil. I feel like I know even less than when I started this class. This is a great class if you want to pay good money just for someone to tell you to read the book.

DO NOT TAKE KEIL. His lessons are all over the place. He sort of makes up a plan for his lessons but never follows it. If you want to do well, you have to teach everything to yourself. Don't get the book, it's useless and never used. Hopefully he will retire soon so I don't have to take him again.

First of all, do not buy the book cause you never use it once. He is a wicked nice guy and can be pretty funny but hes not the greatest teacher. He gives a homework assignment thats easy and due in like a week and then he bases the questions off the homework. Lets you make up every single quiz and semester project is wicked easy. Fun but confusing.

had a 3.91 GPA before his class, as a senior. I have awards for excellence/contributions to the faculty. DO NOT TAKE A COURSE WITH HIM. week, no plan for class, loses assignments/tests, does not grade you as you go, no text book, no clarity. suggest taking his courses at another school to transfer. no way to predict your grade, or to help it.

Info. Tech. and Society was a joke of a class. An easy A, but frustrating if you actually want to learn. Keil has no idea what he is there for and is easily persuaded by students. He has no solid plan for the class, but refers to his slides a lot (which don't always make sense and are outdated)If you do the easy work you'll do fine.

Seriously. Dont take a class with him unless you want to pull your hair out. SO unclear about what he wants, always looses assignments. The final was basically just having to memorize the 200+ multiple choice from the entire semester and there were 45. I did all the work but the final brought my grade way down because we weren't properly prepared.
