He honestly isn't a bad guy, he can be a bit difficult but he's always ready to talk If you are having trouble in the class or need help understanding something. However, he is indeed a very tough grader and has quite the heavy workload.

I recieved a B for what should have been an A. He's not a bad guy but he's WAY to harsh a grader. That and he's caught way too in his own opinions to listen to another interpretation. There is no art or expression in his class, Take MacLay!

He is a tough grader but he is willing to help you if you go to his office. He also provides helpful feedback when he grades you and hands back your assigments graded fairly quickly. He seems to know what hie is talking about and he seems to care about the students. You have to write 5 poems, two big papers, and journal ebtires for each calss.

Dr. Killoran is a great guy, but grades kind of harsh for a 201 poetry class. Despite not getting that should-have-been A, the class was worthwhile, for he made it so. He didn't like any of my poetry, but I digress. His office hours are always open......

It should have been an easy class but he is a terrible grader. He plays favorites and he isn't helpful. I ended up with a B in the class and that's not because of difficulty. He gives good grades for poetry interpretations and poetry he approves. No art or expression here. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!

Hard grader. Won't give me an A no matter what I do (and I get A's in every other class.) The workload is not demanding at all - it's his grading that makes the class so high-pressure. Still, I like him. He's nice, and I always walk out of class knowing more than when I came in.

awesome professor! i had him for poetry. i went in hating poetry and the class ended up being my favorite. he is a tough grader and participation counts for a lot. but he is an awesome teacher and you will learn a lot from him

Many people do not like him but he is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is very intelligent and will help you in any way he can he just has a dry sense of humor and isn't the easiest grader. I would take over and over.
