Boring teacher but a very smart guy. His lectures may seem boring, which they are but can learn the material on your own or in your discussion. Only two tests and two papers so very easy workload.

Most boring lectures ever. Doesn't know how to teach to modern day students. Draws confusing graphs on his overhead projector. I barely learned anything in this class, however Professor Kotz doesn't realize that his students aren't learning anything. 3 essays and 2 exams that I did not feel prepared for.

Comment:

Interesting topics that help you look at economics in unconventional ways, but really boring lectures. I almost never go. He puts the slides online, so 2 assignments aren't bad at all, but tests require a lot of memorization. Easy because of low work load, but take only if you're willing to learn a lot of info. on your own. Textbooks help a little.

Straight-up socialist, no other way to put it. Lots of reading; very biased; wastes too much time answering stupid questions. Lectures are boring. Two exams and two 500-word papers. Wouldn't recommend this class to a friend.

Pretty clear, fair, and informative. Never knew Marxian economics could be so boring, though.
