Dr. Lloyd was incredibly invested in his subject and seemed truly engaged in his job. He spoke with such wit and charm. Plus, his essays were always easy if you read the poems prescribed for class. A great professor I truly recommend.

really emphasizes class attendance, can't skip more then a couple times or you'll get docked a letter grade, passionate teacher but very hard to stay focused in class

Dr. Lloyd really knows his stuff. The only thing I was disappointed in was my final grade-- B+. I was easily the most participating student and never did assignments late. Your grade is solely determined by your final portfolio grade. He also gives great feedback on your pieces which helps you do corrections at the end of the semester.

Great teacher. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends. He knows what he's talking about and makes it interesting. He genuinely loves what he teaches. I'm not an english major, but I definitely enjoy this class. As far as grading, if you follow the assignment and actually try you'll do fine. Also, participation helps.

Wouldn't recommend him. He's VERY biased toward Non-Eng majors. Doesn't matter if he says you're going in the right direction - still shreds papers even if told the idea is good. Attended every class, but still felt loss in the ancient literature. Modern I loved! Still not a fan of the prof & making it mandatory to see his sister's poetry reading.

Interesting course- Celtic Lit- for me (non english major) he's a tough grader. But he is very very helpful. will basically put your paper/ presentation topic in your lap.

At first really didn't care for Dr. Lloyd, but by the end he turned out to be a decent professor. Isn't always the best 'critic' when it comes to work and the class grade is based on a response journal and a final portfolio, but is definitely a good experience in the end.
