His tests are hard, but they are open book because they are onblackboard. He makes it very clear what he wants, but you have to really know the material well because the tests are tricky.I liked him though, he was funny and engaging..

Dr. Matsumoto is very interesting, his lecture style is a little odd at first but then you get use to it. He requires that you complete 3 units of research participation and his tests are online. Show up for class, he collects lecture notes and they add up at the end of the semester. His TA Kimie helped me a lot thanks :)

Boring Lectures on boring material. He wrote the book along with Linda Juang (who also teaches boring material) and it is very redundant. The online tests are on material not covered in either the test or lecture. If you want a frustrating class with poor structure and hours of listening to uninteresting students trying to chyme in you'll be in th

well, I wish he would have sped up his lectures a little because it got a little repetative, other than that he's a good lecturer. tests are online but still challenging. book is boring, it seems redundant.

GREAT teacher, GREAT class! Very interesting lectures and makes you think. He expects students to work and study which is why I think people are giving negative feedback but aren't students supposed to work and study? I heard many take his 455 and love it so if interested in cc psych, definitely take it! You'll learn a lot from a famous prof!

He thinks he is funny, but his jokes suck. The tests have questions/concepts which does not even exist in the textbook. The paper directions are all unclear. And why is he always with a harem of TA's? Is his own lecture notes too heavy to carry ??

Doesn't teach what he tests. Assumes a working knowledge of SPSS and Publication formats,..both of which could take an entire classe in and of themselves. Bases classes too much on theory and not enough on practice.

Not the best at explaining stats. I wish he would slow down his lectures and realize that not everybody knows the terminology he uses. HW, a midterm, a research project, and a final make up your grade. I wish Ben-Zeev taught this class.

Extremely unaccessible and unhelpful. very culturally biased..just read the not-so-informative textbook he has written. reaching the President of US is easier than talking to this guy... exams and lectures are way out of whack.. thinks he is extremely funny but in fact he is quite insulting...

Not an easy A but a good class if you are interested in the topic. He knows what he's talking about and gives interesting lectures. He isn't available for questions often and he can be a bit confrontational if you speak up in class.

Yes, the term project is lengthy, but this is the first teacher I've had who knows the topic without READING OFF POWERPOINT (don't teachers have to know their stuff anymore?). He's reasonable with his tests. Start the project early...Enjoy his sarca

Do not take his class if you know what is good for you!!! His final project is a 20 page long research paper where you have to find and use five peer review journals on your topic (not easy to do, trust me)He also makes the subject boring
