Awesome professor! He really inspired me to do more with quantum and the textbook he wrote is great! His teaching style makes hard concepts simple and brings the material to life.

this prof is one of the best i've had, had him for ph431 and ph451, dude wrote the QM book, he knows his stuff. whoever doesn't like this guy as a teacher is an idiot. good teacher, knows his stuff, hella energy, relates physics to real life situation, moderately hard tests, i would recommend him if at all possible

I had him for paradigms and capstone classes. Incredible energy, never tired. You must have background in the material in order to do well in his class. Fantastic in paradigms, pretty good in capstones. Again prepare for his classes by reviewing and you'll do fine.

A lot of people say he is good because he has a huge curve and it is easy to pass but he has huge curve because he doesn't teach well. Unorganized and does not do relevant problems. Take Bannon! Bannon is clear and helpful and has much higher ave in his class because he teaches well!

The lecture is pretty much teaching you one equation and then 45 minutes of examples for the same equation. Some how every year they make the exams harder, so the practice exams are a little helpful. The curves were great, and saved a lot of people.

The class kicked my butt, yet the curve was fair. His lectures are fast paced and difficult to follow. His exams are painful. His past exams are here: http://www.physics.orst.edu/~mcintyre/COURSES/ they would have helped me a lot.

Decent teaching, pretty clear, just not enough relevant examples (the tests were always much harder than the examples and homework).

Cool guy, really knows his stuff and tries hard. Just do everything and you really shouldn't have too much of a problem. This class WILL be a time investment, just realize that.
