David is the best, he made my first semester in college not as scary as all the high school teachers make it out to be. Get your speeches done on time and participate and you'll do great! Only catch is that there are pop quizzes over reading during lecture, but they are directly out of the reading and the super easy if you've read. Open book final!

This professor is different from others because he literally says whatever he wants. This adds a lot of humor to his lectures and recitations. His assignments are pretty simple. At the end of the semester talk to him and he will raise your grade to help you out.

I did not care for this class. The lectures were at 8 am and pretty useless. I feel like I learned everything in recitation over again. I didn't really learn anything new to help with my speeches and my speeches did not get better as a result of this class. I didn't feel like anyone else in my class really improved dramatically either.

Great professor, it is a shame he doesn't have a tenured position. Even though attendance is mandatory for lectures, he makes them fun and worthwhile to attend. I hated public speaking before this course, but now it is easier to give my speeches in front of groups because I am more confident and relaxed.

David is really outgoing and easy to follow along with in lecture but he is kind of an **** because he is picky about minuscule things in your speech. He also claims that it is easy to get an A in his class at the beginning of the semester though he makes it impossible to get a good grade because he is so picky.

Somehow manages to give interesting, entertaining lectures on how to give speeches. My only complaint is about the mandatory attendance policy. Every lecture you don't show up docks your grade bigtime, to a disproportionate extent. If you can give outstanding speeches without coming to lecture why should you be docked for not showing up?
