Everyone will say how hard this class is, but Cain is NOT THAT HARD!! People are just lazy. Yeah, it's hard to teach chemistry on powerpoints, but if you just read the book and do the nonmandatory homework he assigns, then it's an easy B at least! and Cain's exams are A LOT easier than Doezema.

i don't do many evaluations on this site, but I do this one as a warning to all chemistry students. avoid this teacher at all costs. i'm involved in the chem department so i know what i'm talking about, and every other chem teacher is better. doezema, landers, roe, they're all amazing guys, and any one of them will do. but do not take this guy.

stay away! hardest class i've ever taken in my life...only because the prof. teaches math on powerpoint with a monotone voice and puts you to sleep...i am trying to warn you people...i stopped taking the class and am giving up my summer to take it somewhere else...yes, it's that bad.

He is not so hard as the material is hard to learn. You have to study, and i mean study. He's a nice guy and will help if you go to office hours. Everyone hates him because they fail the class.Although, make sure to compare test, sometimes he gets it wrong. Great guy, yes. Hard class, yes. Easy to go from F to A. adds 10% onto grade at end.

His classes are boring and you only go for attendence to boost your grade. He'll drop a test. Be prepared to learn mostly everything on your own, and if you can't do that or have problems with doing homework then you'll struggle in this class, but it's not very difficult if you're self-sufficient. He's just not a good professor.

booooooring....reads off powerpoint, which is just recondensed book. monotonous and definite snooze factor. Also, messes up A LOT while doing equations/ math for the class and won't back up unless someone corrects him...heaven forbid he gets to the end of the problem and has the wrong answer, he'll do it over again. he gets cranky when you correct him too.

He is very knowledgeable but not extremely exciting. He is helpful but you really have to seek him out in office hours. Problem is that the only real reason to go to class is to get credit for participation. The lectures are 99.9% on blackboard and you could just as easily learn from that.
