Like any history class, there's quite a bit of reading. As the first online class I've ever taken, it went well. His lectures were a little bit slow and boring, yet were filled with enough information that I didn't end up using my textbook. You can pick 5 of 12 summaries to write that are worth 4% each, and it's not difficult to do well on them.

David is a great guy. He always responded to my emails with kindness no matter how dumb my question was. He was disorganized with the syllabus and uploading the material onto blackboard. I had to email him multiple times for things like links to upload assignments the day it was due. But overall I enjoyed the class and the material.

Get ready to set your watch by David Milabar. By week four, you can almost guess when he'll make a reference to zippy cola, his wife, or the struggles of teaching at 3 different universities at once. What you won't be able to tell is when he'll actually teach. Easy enough to do the readings though, just wish the class was more engaging.

Oh boy. I can see why a majority of his classes are online. That is the only way I will ever take another class with him again. He would go on 20 min tangents that totally do no relate to what we were talking about. He has told the same joke 4 times this semester and it gets a light chortle at best, and he doesn't remember that he's already told it

I don't know why people don't like David. He's an amazing prof. His lecture and assignments were super chill. He marks very easily and his outline is very clear. He lets you hand in assignments anytime before the final exam. No due date which is the best thing when you have a heavy semester. I would take this prof again!

He's a nice guy but really easy to zone out; not very interesting. Very disorganized, would forget about quiz and give you two the following week to compensate. Would spend an hour each class to watch a boring video he would fall asleep through. Difficult to focus during class- textbook is a life saver!

Though his lectures were a bit dry and he frequently rambled, Professor Milobar was a good teacher. He was very friendly and approachable outside of class and always willing to go over any questions you might have. His exams are pretty easy and he's a fair marker. Recommended.

Davids lectures are all over the place. Dates are extremely important in assignments but several times during the lecture he will be off by a century. He can get off topic easily and is not techno-savy whatsoever. Do not expect him to answer any emails or post notes on blackboardmyufv.

Extremely dry and boring professor. Magically turns three hour lectures into month long drones. Exams are not too challenging and he is a fair marker, but the lectures kill you.

Personally love all of David's classes and never scored lower than a B+. Finished my minor in history solely through him. Awesome teacher, a bit dry but gives exam questions before final which is nice.

Dave is a super nice guy and he has a great sense of humour. A lot of reading required but assignments aren't too bad and he is a pretty fair marker. Lectures are a bit long and dry but he does add in a lot of jokes throughout.

By far, the worst professor I have ever had. Awful lectures, wasted class time, never gave any feedback, ignored emails, lost papers, assigned articles that didn't exist. I could go on forever. DO NOT TAKE CLASS WITH HIM. He is AWFUL!

Ugh, I know he means well, and I know that he is probably a super nice guy, but I cannot pay attention in this class. No overheads, or powerpoint. Just him sitting, reading off notes, dates and names. So confusing. However, he is funny and nice, and allows papers to be handed in late, which is cool.

Friendly and an easy marker but half the time I wasn't sure what he actually wanted from us. Many of the readings had nothing to do with subject matter and seemed to be thrown in. Lectures were slow, waste of time but mandatory.

He's a nice guy, easy to approach and fun to talk to. He knows his material and is clearly very knowlegable in his subject area, but his lectures are unbearably long, and very dry and very boring, and difficult to follow. The readings he assigns are long, and boring and most times seem to be irrelevant to the subjects at hand.

He went on for 70 min. about how to structure an essay(intro, body, conclusion, etc.) to a 4th year class!! If you value your time or interest in history DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. The worst Professor I've ever had, or ever even heard of!

Don't get me wrong, I like the guy. He's nice, funny, and easy to talk to.. but(!) his lectures are very long winded, he rambles alot, and his readings are terrible! I understand that there are boring things to read in post-secondary, but his were ridiculous! I wish I didn't take this class.
