I took History of the American Dream as my freshman seminar. Prof. Moore is obviously a very smart man but his lectures are incredibly boring and impossible to take notes on. You have an essay due almost every class which is very difficult. He never once posted a single grade so you're completely oblivious. Do not take his freshman seminar.

I took my first year seminar with him and there is a weekly paper due as well as larger papers due at larger increments throughout the semester. He goes on tangents frequently and may be hard to keep up with at times.

I had this man for my first year seminar and he was so boring and dull to listen to. He had all the notes on powerpoint and briefly went over each, but you have to write down what he says cause thats whats important, which is hard cause hes monotone af. You had to write a paper every week and his final is a research paper and a final exam.

Dr. Moore is a great professor! He can get a little monotonous, but overall thoroughly teaches the material. TIP: you HAVE to read the textbook to pass the tests.

I took his History of the American Dream first year seminar which was basically a recap of American History. Pretty much all you had to do was attend lectures and do the assigned readings. It wasn't necessarily difficult, just boring and repetitive.

I took Louisiana History with Dr. Moore. His class was one of my favorite classes, ever. Although it was lecture-based, the lectures and readings were captivating. If you love LA history, take his class.

Although he's a brilliant man, he gets off on tangents about Puritans and Quakers very easily, which isn't covered for an extensive period in the textbooks. He was never in his office during office hours, which I was told was an odd occurrence. He's brilliant, but not helpful. I won't be taking more of his classes if I can avoid it.

Is a very nice man, sometimes he will focus on the small things and not the larger picture. He will also spend many days on one topic and fall behind with the syllabus but he loves what he teaches. He takes attendence everyday so I would go to class as much as possible

I've had him for 3 classes now. He's pretty cool. He's understanding. You have to read a good amount and his courses also include a good amount of writing. He can be sorta a hard grader on papers and quizes but he usually bumps your final grade up a good amount. Def take him but you have to show up!

I took the history of the 20s and 30s class. very interesting class. By all means not a slacker class but not incredibly hard. You have to write at least 3 book reports and read two books that you're quizzed on but they are only in the essay. Very nice man. very enthusiastic as well!!

Dr. Moore is a really nice guy. He wants to see you succeed and he can be very understanding. However; he has a tendancy to be late with tests, grade papers very harshly, get behind of schedual thus skiping over whole wars (the WHOLE civil war) and the final test was over only ten short ID's and we had like A HUNDRED to study. Still, would recommen

Very knowlegable man. He is a typical lecture type teacher. Must take a lot of notes and keep up with the readings, but you learn a lot about Louisiana from start to the present. I had him for a 5 week course of LA History and enjoyed every moment. Must go to class and turn things in on time.
