This class is not really hard. That's why the lectures seem to be boring, and never last more than 30 min. The teacher is just reading Wikipedia, and the quizzes are pretty easy if you read Wikipedia just before going to class.

Although he is a nice person, he is not a good teacher at all. The way he teaches this class is a lecture on a chapter, then we do programming assignments relating to the lecture. But what he teaches from the lecture does not even help towards the assignments that is done during lab time. Everyone mostly had to learn everything on their own.

Every other word he says is "um", he also has an accent that is hardly understandable, his lectures almost never makes sense, and everything he teaches is literally off the book. Also, for a computer science professor he isn't very tech-savvy. I don't understand how he got this job.

How did this guy even get hired here? His lectures are horrible. All he does is go on google to look up other presentations from other professors. His labs were even taken from another person's curriculum. His grading scale is horrendous in that he only gives out 2 As and will always fail people no matter what. tl;dr Take someone else.

The guy... at first i tried to pay attention. His lectures bounce around. He pretty much takes stuff off google or other professors power points and reads off it. But this foo. After like 2 days of his class i was finally fed up when he said 6*3 is 24. i was like "this foo is stupid" gg take another class man.

He reads directly from slides. I took him for an IT class. I could barely understand him, and it hurt my learning process. I wish I had taken it with someone else. Nice guy but not someone to learn from.

Do yourself a favor and find another professor. He doesn't teach, uses other professor's powerpoints that he finds online and reads off of them. He doesn't explain anything. His expectations for projects vs what he has on paper never match. He always wants more than is assigned and marks you down if you don't have it, even if it wasn't assigned.

Huynh's tests were easy enough, he gives you a cheat sheet and a study guide to go off of. You have a LOT of busy homework that is not hard, but time consuming, surprise quizzes so attendance is mandatory or risk missing a quiz. Class was extremely boring, and he basically just read of his notes, so drink caffeine before coming!

Prof Huynh is one of the nicest prof I have ever meet. He is super chill. Like many courses in college, his exams was pretty tricky, but he give a massive curve. Almost everyone get at least a C. You have to be super lazy and not try at all to fail his class.

Class is boring but the material is interesting. I learned from the two sets of homework and from the book. His study guides are very similar to the test and he allows to have a cheat sheet. He knows a lot about the subject. You will learn how to create a virtual machine and create network connections. Short class and short 3 Question quizzes.

Absolutely horrible professor. I did not learn anything from his lectures and the homework didn't help either. The only reason this class is passable is because he allows you to use a cheat sheet for the exams. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't go to class you'll lose 10% on your final grade from missing quizzes.

Very nice. Really wants to help you learn the material. Tries his best to do so. Tests are very long and tedious, especially the final! But, tests are open book, open notes. You still NEED to understand the material to do well. Attendance mandatory (10% of grade). Got a B after the HUGE curve, even tho failed 2/4 exams.

Tests can take up to three hours, overloads tests with questions. Attendance required. Tells you to go watch his youtube videos and reads out of book or powerpoint. Hard to understand but nice guy. Would recommend different teacher for 310 though, I hear he is ok for IS 300 as it is a lecture class.

Easy class! Homework is easy, but the 2 midterms and 1 final cover so much details of the textbook! the pop quizzes for promoting attendance are extremely easy! just write anything that you know, or google it, or ask your neighbors! easy A. my class result:18As, 56Bs, 38Cs, and 4Ds! Tip4CheatSheet: type the details as mush as possible!

Easy class. Homework-- Just follow the directions given in the assignment. He lays out the steps one-by-one. Don't need to pay attention in class for that. Pop quizzes-- the attendance pointz. Just google it or ask a neighbor who was listening to the lecture. Midterm/Finals-- a bit tricky, but just study a little and prepare a cheat sheet. ezpz

Doesn't explain how to solve problems very well, but if you can follow along with what he does, then go home and read, you will do ok on the tests. Attendance is mandatory, lectures are boring, he's hard to understand.
